Wow, I don't know that Oscar could stand up to a big 154-160 pound puncher like Mugabi. But by the same token, I don't know if the Beast could weather Oscar's left hand either..
But since Oscar isn't known as a fast starter I would suspect Mugabi would survive the first couple of rounds and get a chance to make it a war. He would definitely get Oscar's attention.
However, somewhere around the 9th or 10th round, I suspect Oscar would land a counter hook that ends up stopping Mugabi.

oscar by KO because he's a great fighter and he's beaten other great fighters. live with it.

Ok....so assuming they did fight, what's your pick?

Well needless to say Id bet the "DeLaHoya does not win by KO" prop that Mr for Sure's sport book would list. This guy stood up to a hellacious ass whipping from Hagler, a bigger stronger harding hitting guy than DeLaHoya ever was. De la Hoya at 154lbs was/is far from his best and he'd have a hell of a fight on his hands against Mugabi at that weight.
The two great fighters who DeLaHoya beat were well past their primes in Whitaker and Chavez, and neither was anything close to mugabi. I actually agree with what ghoster said.

DLH hasn't looked especially strong or hard punching at 154 and a prime Mugabi was a bruiser with a huge punch. If Vargas was able to rough up DLH at 154, Mugabi might run him right out of the ring.
DLH is a greater fighter and is better P4p. But at their respective bests at 154 I lean toward Mugabi.

The Mugabi that slaughtered Fletcher would stop Oscar.
