Floyd vs Duran
Both around the same size so P4P is almost meanigless in this one. Duran gives Floyd lots to think about with his agression and volume punching but he never hurts Floyd and misses quite a bit.
Floyd by Split decision
Floyd vs Leonard
Toughest style matchup of the 4 for Floyd. Floyd outboxes Leonard for the most part, in the early going with better defensive skills and slightly better foot movement, but Ray wins a razor close decision on account of his handspeed advantage, flurries and finishing strong.
Floyd vs Hagler
Easiest style matchup for Floyd of the four. Beats Hagler, who tries to box early, by having a huge lead at the mid-way point and Hagler's agression coming too little and too late. Hagler, P4P didn't punch any harder than anything Floyd has already seen and Floyd will avoid the majority of his punches.
Floyd by clear UD
Floyd vs Hearns
Most dangerous fight for Floyd in most senses but also the only one of the four that he could have stopped, P4P (at 147 hearns kills him). Hearns with a very slight lead going into the latter stages gets hurt and stopped by Floyd by the 11th.

p4p doesn't exist so:
PBF-Duran @ lightweight - PBF is too quick for the clutcher and decisions him
PBF - Leonard @ welter - speed is about even, skill is even but since Leonard was the better aggressor and more ready to take chances, he wins the decision
PBF - Hearns @ welter - Hearns was unbeatable for pure boxers and PBF would never attack against him. Tommy by convinving decision
Hagler beats him up bad

All of them beat Floyd. Only varying degrees of margins.

Floyd would never beat Hearns, let alone stop him without the aid of a steel chair.

P4P the only fighter on that list I'd favor Floyd over is Hagler, and even that I'm not sure of. Thats a pick em.
He loses to Duran, Hearns, and DEFINITELY to Leonard.

First of all, let me say that in your history of biased boneheaded posts, this is a top ten featurette...
With that said...
Fab 4 4, Mayweather 0
Mayweather could fare the best against Duran but seeing how Floyd bitched up in parts of the fights with Castillo, I don't see how he could handle Duran's more effective aggression, footwork and counterpunching ability.

Thanks for the love! I see they've made you a moderator in my absence. Cupey's obviously lost his mind.
In any event, don't worry, I'm only here until the De La Hoya Floyd fight

Slystaff is an idiot. Mayweather hasn't had a single fight above 147, and Slystaff's comparing him to one of the greatest middleweights of all time? Mayweather refused to fight Winky Wright because Wright was too big. What about Hagler?!?!? What about all the times that Mayweather's stated that he'll never move above 154? Slystaff simply doesn't know his shit about Mayweather.

Floyd gets mauled by Duran at 135 , 140 , and 147 .. A prolonged beating ..
Leonard - a big Welter stops Floyd in 5 rounds at 147
Hagler - If Floyd ever attempted what Duran did and move to 160 , he gets demolished in 3 rounds and brought out on a stretcher ...
Hearns - He KO's Floyd in 3 rounds at 147 and breaks his jaw ...

if nothing else this thread is a compelling example of the psychosis that has taken grip of so many when it comes to PBF, and the extreme degree to which he is now over-rated by so many.

You can't hurt what you can't hit. Hagler was only marginally taller than Floyd, and more than a step slower of hand and foot.
Floyd would beat Hagler at 160lbs weighing only 147. Marvin simply wouldn't be able to corner him frequently enough to inflict heavy damage.
Floyd by decison at 160!!

Let's forget Pound for pound and discuss teh fights..STRAIGHT UP!
Floyd cannot beat Leonard or Hearns, bottomline, and could possibly be stopped by both (especially Hearns) but arguably lose pretty clear decisions to either.
However...
Both Hagler and Duran would be made a mockery of!!!!!:flip:

Yes, because Hagler and Duran were such slow guys who lacked boxing skill and were so easy to outbox.

This is incredibly REEDtarded.
Floyd is 5'7" on a good day.
Not to mention, Hagler has a significant reach advantage.
Please explain how Floyd could get out of the way of Hagler's right hook or right jab.
Plus, he'd lean into the straight left.
If Judah and Mitchell could catch Floyd, don't you think Hagler would have.
Your nuthuggery of Floyd has reached unprecedented levels.

Leonard outclasses Floyd, Duran steamrolls floyd, Hearns outboxes and possibly knocks him out. Hagler, I won't go there(everyone knows Floyd can't handle southpaws).
I know Floyd outboxed Baldomir how could he possibly lose to these guys?

I don't believe in P4P matches, so by default Floyd gets out-boxed by Tommy, Leonard stops him in a 15 rounder, Duran mauls him for a decision win, and Hagler, well... I'm not gonna go there, it would be very, very nasty.

I'm mortally allergic to p4p match ups, sorry.
I think Duran would take 2 of a trilogy at either 135 or 147, at his very best. Floyd beating him could hapen on any given night though and every fight would be close.
I think Leonard would beat Floyd at welterweight in a 10-5, 9-6 type affair. Mainly because Ray is bigger.
Ditto, I think Hearns would beat Floyd by similar margins at 147 but in a much less entertaining fight. Goes without saying Hearns could land something big and blow him out, the reach and power difference is monumental. No detraction from any former lightweight/super feather to acknowledge that.
Hagler doesn't happen.
I think Floyd would sneak a win over Benitez with his speed and accuracy, much as Leonard did. Very, very close though.
Bottom line, I'm now pretty comfortable seeing Floyd's name in the same sentence as these guys, even though his resume & his attitude doesn't really warrant it.

Duran
-Volume punching is right. PBF isn't active enough. Potshotting, curling up into a ball & running isn't enough to get it done against Duran.
Duran by dec
Leonard
-He's jus better-Better power, handspeed, footwork, chin. PBF may have better defense. But again, Leonards too much in every department. PBF fights not to lose & loses a dec, or fights to win and gets stopped late.
Hagler
-Some may think that PBF may be able to steal (stink) a dec, but I think that prime Hagler is too well-schooled. He's no Ricky Hatton or old DLH.
The only ad PBF has is speed. He cant hurt Hagler, & if Hagler can apply effective agression (which I think he can) he will be too much.
Hearns
-Forget about it. PBF has nothing against Hearns. Hearns' jab, reach, boxing speed & power scares the shit out of PBF. PBF may think that he can crack Hearn's chin, which may lead him to actually fight. If so, PBF goes down.
Similar to Leonard in the sense that if PBF fights not to lose he MAY survive. My guess would be he's lucky to see the final bell no matter what he does.
