Would Hatton stand a chance in hell at beating the 140 version of Oscar?

A slim one.

I would pick Oscar to bust up and cut Hatton's face pretty bad and stop him in the mid to late rounds. Hatton would have some moments, but it would be a decisive victory for Oscar.

Oscar wins a UD and fades a little late enough for a 116-112 reading on all the cards. Oscar was a beast at 135 and 140. I wish he had trained more and stayed at 140. He was smaller or the same size as the other welters. He was a beast at 140. Hatton would get battered walking in and getting out.

DLH stops him mid fight with blood everywhere...

To be honest , I'm not even sure if the current Hatton is as good as the older Chavez that fought DLH ....

If I was forced to pick who would win , I would say the older Chavez would beat Hatton ...

Why ? The Chavez that fought DLH would probably be able to beat the Hatton we seen over his last two fights ...

That is not a far stretch at all ... You should re-watch DLH/Chavez 2 ..
Also that was Chavez at 147. If he had fought at 140 on that day Vs Hatton , my money would have been on Chavez ...

Did you see this fight ?

ODH would KO Hatton for sure. The fight would probably look like ODH/Molina, only Hatton would not survive the way Molina did. He'd do nothing but grab on for dear life. But ODH would get him. That's my opinion.

Yeah, there'd be a good share of holding. Hatton kept coming forward and wrestling and holding Tszyu because Tszyu likes range on his shots, and when Tszyu landed the right, it wasn't with full extension. DLH is most effective at mid or long range, and Ricky would try to stay close and not let DLH get more room for that left hook.

It wouldn't be the most pretty of fights, but I think DLH could time Hatton coming in and catch him with enough shots and cut and swell him up for a stoppage. If not, then a UD.

DECISIVE KO Win for DeLa...6-7 Rounds MAX...Perhaps even EARLIER...

Hatton WOULD have his Moments,but Ultimately,DeLa's BIGGER,STRONGER,More SKILLFUL,Punches HARDER,TAKES a Better Shot....

DeLa has Virtually EVERY Advantage Over Hatton,@ 140...

DeLa would PUNISH Hatton w/his Jab(which would BUST Up Hatton's Grill by the 3rd or 4th Round),then,After Being BLINDED from the Blood running N 2 his Eye's,Hatton would Get Caught FLUSH by the HARDEST Left Hook he's EVER Felt...

Hatton has BALLS,so he'd RISE on Unsteady Legs & the Ref would Either STOP it Then OR,DeLa would Unleash 1 of those Vargas,Ike or Mayorga Type of FLURRIES to Finish the Fight...

Ouch.
IMO, De La Hoya was almost 'perfect' at 140lb....that weight was just right for his height, build, speed, power, etc.

I pick De La Hoya by mid-round stoppage from horrendous cuts due to an endless barrage of combinations.
