When I first read your post Rubio, I'l be honest. I was very concerned. I mean, Only 11 posts AND no potential?!!
Could today get any worse??

When I had gathered my composure, however, I pondered your assertion:
I take it that "you suck" in the context of your post has the stipulative definition of "person who is devoid of potential", as no further clarification was provided, and "you suck" seems to have been put forth as a neccessary condition of "lack of potential".


Possibly as a deductive syllogism, it may be expressed thus:
P1-One who "sucks" has no potential
P2-PW "sucks"

C-PW has no potential.

Personally, although, deductively valid, I think that P1 & P2 are question begging.
Furthermore, you have the added problem of the fact that I clearly possess the potential to make more posts.

Maybe you could ammend you argument;

P1-One who "sucks" has no potential (other than to make posts on a boxing message board)
P2-PW "sucks"

C-PW has no potential. (other than to make posts on a boxing message board).

It weakens the impact of your point, however, & obviously doesn't dissolve the question-begging issue.

The other thing of course, is that I have the potential to do a myriad of other things. For example. I have the potential right now to heat up the Chilli-Con-Carne that my wife made last night, and have it for dinner. Hence, the truth value of the premises seems to be on shaky ground. Either PW "sucks", & your defintion of "sucks" is inaccurate, or "sucks" does mean "one devoid of potential" in which case it clearly cannot be applied to PW.

Anyway, I'm of to realise my my "heating up the Chilli-Con-Carne" potential.
