Great round for sure. The excessive spitting out of the mouthpiece..and the subsequent delays...spoiled it a little for me though, stopping it from being #1.

Watson-Eubank 2, round 11 was INCREDIBLE.

The heart, courage and determination displayed in that round is largely unmatched in the sport's history.

I would have Caveman Lee - John Locicero round 5 I think, in there.
It wasn't that great a fight as Lee dominated most of the way, but that last round was sensational.
The best I saw was the last round of Corrales-Castillo 1 (10)

Not a best round but a very action-packed round for huge heavyweights would be Lewis/Klitschko round 3. Lewis rocked, comes back and hurts Klitschko a bit, both guys throwing with all their might. It was a decent round. That was, as Merchant put it "Gatti/Ward at the highest level on the scale!"

That being said, this is a fairly good idea for a topic, and here are some of my picks, with explanations:

Chavez-Taylor I, round 12: This has to be one of the most heartbreaking rounds in the history of boxing. The mere mention of it will spark heated debate among most fans.
Moore-Durell I, round 1: Here, you had the drama of the great Archie Moore - then older than Bernard Hopkins is now - finally losing his title to the young fisherman. I can't understand how it was like then to watch this match, but current viewers know that Moore is going to win. Watching it through modern eyes is incredible. To us, that first round is a TKO, the fight a perfect example of how harder a sport boxing was back then.
Tyson-Spinks, round 1: I can't view this fight through the eyes of history, because I remember this fight as if it were yesterday. A lot of people were looking at Tyson as if he was the best fighter ever, not just at heavyweight, but pound-for-pound. Will Smith wrote a rap about him. Who would have known that it would all be over so quickly?
Tunney-Dempsey II, round 7: This was Chavez-Taylor I, round 12 for two generations. Tunney had easily won every round of the fight, and then the Dempsey of old trapped Tunney against the ropes and went into his famous Dempsey Roll, raining power punch after power punch on the helpless Tunney. What happened afterwards was Dempsey's fault. He was the one who insisted that after a knockdown, you go to the neutral corner, but he wouldn't go. Tunney was on the floor for 14 seconds, but he wasn't counted out. For the rest of the fight, Tunney continued to dominate, and didn't even think of getting anywhere near the ropes.

But I'll tell you that, in London (England) there were (in the late 80s and 90s) many video stores which carried documentaries on legendary fights...some hosted by a combination of Mike Tyson and Larry Merchant and a few others...and I've seen as many as I could get my hands on.

Nevertheless..continue thinking whatever makes you happy...

Pretty much the whole Douglas Tyson fight. Especially the round where Douglas got a slightly long count after the knock down. I remember thinking that the fight would not be much to watch but the beer was cold. It was captivating, nobody could believe it as Douglas manages to last round after round... He looked like Ali! It was unbelievable.

I thought the Brewster Vlad fight was pretty intense also.

Of the older fights:

1) The second Lewis Schmelling fight... or round.
