Oscar, Floyd Controversy!
The official Nevada master scorecard lists Oscar De La Hoya as fighting out of the blue corner, and Floyd Mayweather fighting out of the red corner. In reality, it was De La Hoya fighting out of the red corner and Mayweather out of the blue corner. Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer is currently investigating whether the scores were recorded accurately.

I always like the FIGHTER coming forward, PRESSING the fight.
Mayweather was hhis usual self, one shot at a time, and most of his left hooks were BLOCKED by DLH and most of his other punches were also BLOCKED for that matter. Punchstas clearly don't see the difference between landing effectively or being BLOCKED by gloves.
Oscar's head was snapped back ONCE. Mayweather won clearly rounds, 1, 8, 10 and 11 other than that...
For someone who SHOULD have been totally outclassed and MASSACRED, he MADE the fight and WON it.

Floyd beats Margarita 12-0. What exactly is Margarita gonna do differently than Oscar? Even at 34 DLH is 10x faster than Marga, and hits much harder, and has a MUCH better defense. Margarito puts on slow pressure, and throws slow looping shots that Floyd would see coming from two light years away. Floyd pot shots the shit outta Margarita, the fight would not be competitive at all. And Oscar knocks him out.

-So...if a punch is blocked it's important to note...umm...no, that's not signifigant on the Mayweather side, not at all...*sarcasm mode off*
-*sigh* this has been my pet peeve for as long as I can remember.
I DON'T CARE WHAT PERSONAL EXPECTATIONS ARE. I score what I see, with the greatest emphasis on clean landed punches. Mayweather IMO landed more clean punches in more rounds than DLH. I don't care if it wasn't the way people EXPECTED it to be done; I don't care if both sides blocked the majority (which they certainly did...WHY would DLH get MORE credit for blocking single shots? I sure as hell don't give Mayweather more credit for blocking multiple shots :dunno:) THERE IS NO HANDICAPPING IN BOXING SCORING. That's a ridiculous way to think of scoring rounds, and can certainly lead to off decisions that we so-called fans rush to call fixed or constroversial.

First of all you simp, who the hell said Floyd was G.O.A.T, besides himself? None claims that, not even us hardcore Floyd fans, so that shit you can just cast to the side!
Second of all, saying Zab had a field day is the biggest exaggeration ever! He won 3 outta the first 4 rounds, then got his ass kicked for the remainder of the fight and tried to quit. Mosley & Margarito hit much harder than WHO? Certainly not Oscar. If there was anyone who was a threat to knocking out Floyd it was tonight with DLH. Oscar's left hook is a more powerful punch than ANYTHING Mosley, or Margarita throws, and he couldnt damage Floyd. So how do Mosley, and Margarito knock him out? Your hate for Floyd has been documented for YEARS, you have never showed any objectivity towards him whatsoever.
Dont be mad just because Floyd is a great fighter with talent, and balls, and your lover was born with a vagina and quit TWICE. I didn't write it down, but I think that's basically how I had it early. Floyd won the first, the second and fourth to Oscar, with the third being close.
But then I go and look at ESPN's scorecards and they're all over the place.
