Could the Floyd that fought Oscar have beaten a prime Norris?

Yes.
Norris had no chin. Mayweather would get to it eventually. See that counter right hand off the ropes against Oscar in the 5th. Norris would have been dropped by that one.
Sure..stylewise, Norris would give Floyd hell: Norris probably has faster hands and boxes just as well. But Floyd would get to him eventualy...12 rounds is a long time...

Norris wins this fight either via KO, or via lopsided decision...knocking Floyd around in the process. Terrible match-up for him.

Norris takes this, unless he is comming off a layoff, a torn rotor cuff and was towards the end of his carrer.(sound familiar). Those conditions are also the only way Mayweather would have taken that fight too.

I would make Norris a solid favorite here.
More suited for 154, excellent hand speed and combos, good power, and I don't think his main weakness (chin) will be a factor against Mayweather, who's not a big puncher.

Norris on points, keeps Floyd on the defensive for the most part
