Neither guy is very good. I like JT, but he is not a future great and he beats either of these guys with absolute ease. I just hope it is a good fight. I could never pick Pavlik. Miranda is poor in a lot of areas, so Pavlik definitely has a chance to win tonight...but that won't make him a star and I don't see a lot of fights beyond this one that would make him one (maybe a fight with Duddy, that one would be exciting, and winnable...I don't think either is much of a threat to Taylor, so they might as well fight each other...it'd be like Gatti-Ward IV).

Yeah, I meant the comparison more in terms of the buzz it generated in a prospect vs. prospect fight (yet being way too brief to show much)...but after KO'ing Wilson Tua had to go deep in a lot of fights to get those other KO's (Izonritei and Maskaev were tough, brutal fight and then he had the Ibeabuchi loss).

Agreed. I hate watching Italy play for thoe most part. However i don't take anything away from any team that wins a World Cup. I don't like hearing bullshit like: "the best team didn't win".

interesting to see what Pavlik does after this fight, win or lose. I guess it depends on how much he struggles to make the weight, because much like Hatton at 140, his strength is one of his main strengths....he'd be giving some of that away at 168.

Having said that, Pavlik is a throw back and despite a padded record, seems to be all about gaining recognition and making big fights.....provided he beats Taylor, then a fight with the Calzaghe-Kessler winner would be the biggest out there for him
