i'll say, Castillo. he provides a good mix of brawling, technique, punching power and boxing.

yeah. he's an awesome counter-puncher. his fight with Ruiz was a damn good performance too. and of course, his win over Jirov.
his right-hand counter of his opponent's right hand is a thing of beauty.

Theres a lot of fighters I'd like to watch, but that can be disapointing when matched with a stinker and things of that nature, I'd rather see a card of good matched opponents who come to fight regardless of who they are anyday over the named fighter, it would simply be harder to get disappointed that way.

You know I don't agree with you. Briggs has one semi-impressive KO on his record; Lyakhovich. A guy Mo Bettah KOed with one punch years earlier.
He's a can opener with a punch, nothing more. Plenty of them in the heavyweights.

48 wins 42 by KO and one impressive KO victory? That is one of the highest KO percentages in the sport, no matter who he is fighting. Tyson, not a bad puncher himself, also fought quite a few tomatoe cans and didn't KO as many of them. name another heavy who is as much as a threat as a puncher actively fighting right now... maybe Brewster, maybe Peter, that is about it so I would like to see these big punchers who can punch as good as my favorite Tomato Can.
Yes, all he can do is punch, but he knows that and sets that punch up. If you take his whole career you could even say he has used the one punch KO consistently despite his losses and fall from grace.
Please remember you are talking about a championship fighter here!

Klitchko has fought and KOed MUCH better quality of opposition and quite regularly messes guys up with one punch.
Briggs has ONE impressive KO. One. Sorry, but Tyson messed up cans like Briggs did...but he also ruined some decent fighters too. Briggs hasn't done that. Hell, he couldn't even take out Darroll Wilson and he unloaded everything on him. Tua knocked out Wilson in one round.
Sedrick Fields? Frans Botha? It could go on and on. Briggs ia a pretty good puncher, but you hold him in ridiculous levels, simply because of his record...which if you look not at the numbers, but the 'who', is hardly impressive at all.

Brigg's record was impressive to a point and then he hit the skids. I don't actually think Briggs is at the elite level but I do think he is a very credible threat in the ring. I recognize this distinction
i mean I respect Brock as much as you do and frankly against a guy like Peter, Brock could win. But Brock's size and late entry to the game make it impossible for him to beat one of the Klitschkos. Brigg's who is not at the level of a guy like Brock is a good enough puncher that he could beat one of the big boys in the division with one punch. So in essence Briggs is a more credible threat even though he is not an elite fighter because he is good at what he does.... setting up for and unloading a big punch.
