Relentless, tireless, hardnosed, and in-your-face—that’s Andrey Tsurkan(25-2, 16 KO’s) in a nutshell. The Ukrainian born NABF Jr. Middleweight Champion, who now fights out of the Bronx, NY, reminds me of a 154-lbs version of Ivan Drago. Even throughout the madness of today’s press conference that took place at Hurley’s in NYC, Tsurkan’s facial expression was like stone. He looked almost impervious to his surroundings.
“Outside the ring he’s the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. Inside the ring he’s a killer” says Star Boxing (http://www.fightbeat.com/forums/../article_detail.php?AT=541#) CEO Joseph DeGuardia.

This Versus series has been a dissapointment given the hype (and reported money) it recieved in the beginning.
These cards aren't even better than some Telefutura cards.
This fight could be a decent scrap, though...and I'll watch just out of respect for Tsurkan beating Camacho.

The reported $250,000 a month isn't really for each show. At least that's what I keep hearing. The other Top Rank stuff aired costs money too.
I never really looked into it though, so I'm probably wrong.
Even still, I'm sure they're paying more than $15,000 a show, and some of their shows are worse than ESPN main events.

I assume you mean some of their classic fights...if that's encompassed in the figures then I think the early reports were misleading.
I do enjoy watching some of those classic fights.

That and they'll also replay more recent fights. Before Cotto's fight against Zab Judah, they replayed his fight against Malignaggi a few times.

Yeah, I remember watching that replay on Versus...I think that's the only one, though. They do re-airy previous Versus fights occasionally.

Tsurkan's gotta be one of my faves to watch - the guy is tough as hell.
