Put me on it. I've always liked what I saw from the kid. He won't be as good as his dad (that's askingtoo much)
"However"
In my eyes, he's better than the laundry list of ex-fighter's sons...
Paez Jr.
Camacho Jr.
McGirt Jr.
Ronald Hearns
how about mosleys son? future champ material?

That's AFTER they lost. When they were winning, nobody talked sh*t. Just like when Chavez Jr meets defeat, he too will be on this laundy list of washouts.

They haven't fought anybody, none of these 'sons' have made their own name and likely never will, including Chavez Jr. They'll all be stuck in the shadows of their old men.
Like I said, the only reason people are jumping on his wagon is because the sport offers so little when it comes to potential athletes. Jr has become a millionaire while having done nothing. On the bright side, it could all end with just 1 big punch. And all his new fans will jump off the wagon and call him a dud.

agREED on most, but Chavez Jr, will carve out a decent career for himself, whether or not you care to accept it.
I can't say the same for McGirt, Camacho or any other fighter who even goes as far as to take on their fathers' nicknames! (Buddy Jr, Macho Jr  ). And with Hearns, I'm just not seeing what others are insisting is there.
Paez Jr. is still young, and has already bounced back from his lone loss. I can see him becoming better than his father.
Aaron Pryor Jr. can also fight a bit as well. Not sure what's going on with his career at the moment, though I know he's had a hard time lining up fights as most would rather fight his not-so-talented brother (Stephan).

Put me on board as member Emeritus (I won't jump off when he loses.)
I'd also join McGirt Jr.'s bandwagon if there is one. As much as I don't think he's any good, he's improved ALOT since being on TV earlier in his career, and he totally accepts and admits that the only reason he gets any coverage, fights, tv time is because of his father's name and freely admits that he flaunts it himself for his own betterment. He knows and admits he's not the best, but thinks he can be with some time and proper work, so he'll take the free fanfare while it's here.
Gotta love a guy who is honest.
