Dan Rafael:
-"Heavyweight Andrew Golota (40-6-1, 33 KOs) will face Mike Mollo (19-1, 12 KOs), who is taking a big step up in competition, in a 12-rounder pitting the Chicago-based fighters."
-"Other bouts in the works for the card include junior middleweight titlist Cory Spinks making a mandatory defense against Verno Phillips and ex-welterweight titlist Luis Collazo returning from February hand surgery to face Venezuela's Nelson Linares in a title eliminator that would put the winner in position to become Miguel Cotto's mandatory challenger."

surprised Dan didn't take credit for this fight being put together.

already knew about Spinks-Phillips, and expect it to be televised - but are the other two fights the televised undercard as well?
don't know linares or if he brings it but the other two fights don't interest me. with the heavyweight fight being sheer rubbish.

Spinks-Phillips? Whoa, now there's a barn burner.
The IBF is a piece of shit.
How can Verno be a mandatory?

I was thinking about the exact opposite of every single thing you said here. Including a  at the end.

I've never seen Nelson Linares fight before. All I know about him (aside from what his record tells you) is that he's Jorge's older brother.
Glad you're finding some value out of this undercard. ... I'm with you, though, I think Spinks-Verno will be a lot better than most people expect (or suspect). Though I can see it either playing out exactly like Ouma-Phillips I (a war) or Ouma-Phillips II (a dud) - Phillips competitve but losing, either way

Im only really interested in seeing Collazo-Linares of the 3 U/C fights. Spinks don't deserve to be on tv stinking the place out. Golota don't belong on tv either.

so Linares "is" good then? i take it. Spinks is boring, but don't forget - Phillips is an aggressive "and" smart fighter - he will make contact with Spinks. And I'm not even sure he loses this fight. The Ouma comparisons I don't think are valid. Ouma is a much tougher customer than Spinks. If Spinks tries to stink against Phillips, Phillips will get him with his lunging hooks.

Guys from South America at least come to fight and Collazo won't be going anywhere we already know that.
I hope you are right about Phillips. I like Phillips and i hope he can make contact. Obviously when Spinks doesn't want to get he doesn't get hit period. Which is what im expecting to happen.
