It's apparent that he's open for a lead left hook and lead right hand as he comes in. His head is way up in the air and his hands are low. Also he's a little sloppy when he has his opponent against the ropes. Floyd may tattoo him with counters off the ropes all night long.

i never said castillo would ko floyd. but even if i did, it doesn't come close to the ridiculous notion that sly has that PBF can knock "anyone" out, let alone hatton or ODH.

And you just realized this now?

That's a Hatton liability and one that Tszyu exploited with some success with his right hand down the middle.

That's how Magee was able to knock Ricky down as well.

Problem is Hatton can walk through those and his own snapping quick jab to get in is pretty good.

Key here will be Mayweather's ability to watch Hatton's front foot (no mean feet since Ricky's pretty quick), step back when he comes forward and create room for that right hand pull and counter, move laterally, reset and rinse and repeat.

Also if Mayweather can take the lead with his lead left hook then "push" Hatton off-balance like PBF likes to do and nail him again before pivoting around and/or holding, that will be a big weapon for him.

Not sure on your comment regarding Ricky being "sloppy" inside. He creates angles quite well when he punches to the body inside - and he is not mauling just to maul; he creates space with his forearms/elbows/shoulders to be able to punch clearly to the body...turning his opponent slightly is part of the process.

Uppercuts are critical vs. Hatton inside but it's very difficult to get them off consistently given how he mauls and positions his elbows.

Interested in seeing how the physical part will turn out....PBF's strength is under-estimated; but Hatton has had MUCH more time to acclimate to 147 now.

Peace.

Magee is a southpaw, which basically means Ricky is open to any lead punch. Check out how flat his face is...it looks like a miniature catchers mitt.

He's open for everything when he comes lunging in for the hug. Hatton has some good talent but he is sloppy. Floyd will land at will.

Correct Hattons face damn sure looked like Pudge Rodriguez's catcher mit. He was catching all types of lead rights to his grill. I'll Holla 5000

Perhaps Hatton should move down to 135lbs so he can ensure that he never gets bounced off a ring post again. I'll Holla 5000

Thing is, Floyd doesn't even dominate his own weightclass. This dude hasn't cleaned out 147, he's just taken lucarative fights like a pure businessman, handpicking whoever he thinks makes the most money. He barely got by a shot Oscar and called a tiny 140lber to meet him up at 147. Big deal. Why don't Floyd grab himself some balls and go up to 154 again and meet Winky Wright or go up to 160 and meet Kelly Pavlik? If not, then go and clean out his own division at 147 if anything.

Careful, don't make them make the argument that Floyd has fought all comers, cos, as much as I love them, I'd hate them to spoil their own moment.

Floyd doesn't need to leave his weight division to prove his greatness, but it would be nice if he'd clean out a division.

He's staked this claim at 147 by fighting a 154 and a 140 lber.

The guy is great, but there is a lot more to do before his claim is solidified (unless the other guys pick each other off, I guess).

PBF needs to have at least one fight he's not favored to win. Or one in which he's even money. I think this could come against a guy like Cotto, Margarito or Williams.

Even a bout with Cintron would prove PBF's ability to deal with a hard-hitting full fledged welter-weight who is in his prime. Because neither ODH nor Hatton fit that bill.

But I guess when I really look inward as to why I want him to fight the Margaritos and the Williams, it's because I desperately want to see him lose. So in that respect, it could be the smartest thing for him to avoid those guys. And there seems to be more than enough ignorance when it comes to PBF and his career for it to not hurt his legacy if he never does fight any of those guys.

Floyd would be favored to beat all 3 of those guys, and for good reason. And Cintron is way too slow, and mentally weak to beat Floyd. I think Floyd would stop Kermit the fraud, despite being smaller.

For Floyd to be an underdog in a fight, he'd have to move up to 160 and fight Pavlik. Cause anybody else below 160 he'd be favored to beat.

the ring. He did an excellent job of cutting off the ring and moving inside. Even then he couldn't time floyd, most of the time. the only person who will beat floyd will have to have superhuman speed and above average power.
