View Full Version : Is REED Is The Late 70's Version of Ali?

Is it me or has REED lost his edge?

I vividly recall REED as the hot tempered, brash poster who rarely ran from a squirmish and openly disagREED with posters. He's often quite chummy with old foes.

The REED I see today is a shell of his former self. Old foes such as Cupey, Double L and StingerKarl (to name a few) are now cordial to REED and REED to them. To make matters worse, REED currently holds a spot at the table on Fightbeat Radio and is a semi-regular contributor to the website.

Is it safe to say that the early REED's persona and mentality closely followed the brash CassiusClay/Muhammad Ali whereas the current version resembles the mid to late 70's Ali who became a part of the establishment and a shell of his former self as a personality and fighter.

What says the board? Is REED past his prime, stumbling around on wooden legs?

Most deffinitely. He never had much of a prime, but now he's just punchdrunk.

I think many members on this board owe you money or something like that. That is the reason you are receiving so many smileys

Wait I'll give myself a smiley:lol:

Many do, but are too broke to pay me. Instead i give them the option of sending me pics of their wives, girlfriends and sisters naked.

I have to collect somehow and that's all some of these guys have.

Nah, brother REED is slightly past, but still has many good years left.

I'll openly admit that I'm shot on the other hand. I'm a shell of the poster I was in 02-03.

I've been shot for years and I openly admit it.

REED is very much "Mr. Establishment" these days.

Kinda reminds me of Hammer and how "Let's Get It Started" & "Ring 'Em" were the hits...

Then he dropped "U Can't Touch This", crossed over then got crossed out.

I'd warn Brother REED that his acceptance by the establishment can be fleeting. The slide from "U Can't Touch This" to doing Kentucky Fried Chicken commercials was quick and deadly.

Brother REED runs the risk of completely falling off.

Hilarious thread.

I too am past my prime. Definitely no longer the same poster I was in the S/O glory days!

I have a Reed-Sense. My Reed-Sense tells me that Sugary Sean hasn't been here for some time, maybe even days. This is strange.
