How does this have anything to do with the government, conspiracies or Ron Paul?
WTF Petre? You can post general interest shit. How can I respond with a completely differing opinion when you post vanilla shit like this.
Damn you.

So you think this is a conspiracy? The whale didn't really attack the shark? This was all a setup?

A killer whale is far too big, strong, fast and intelligent for the shark. Out of 100 encounters, a killer whale wins 99 times.

Sounds like Hatton-Mayweather, without Joe Cortez.
This one is much better....

Having said that ... It's a well known fact that Killer Whales attack and kill sharks and dolphins among other animals for their food.

Well known fact yet there is no proof anywhere of a killer whale attacking and killing a shark , let alone a large shark.

Cause I seen the REAL DOCUMENTERY where that footage came from.
First off , in the beggining where they show the seal and then the sahrk swimming , That is added in.
There is NO footage of any killer whale attacking and biting a shark.
If you notice , you CAN'T see it happening ...
Bro the real footage of that is simply a couple of minutes of a Killer whale feeding on a shark carcas ... Nothing more. Everything else , and the narration have all been added in ...
There ARE NO underwater seens or footage. Anything under water has been added in. The real footage consists only of above water filming.

Clash of the titans: Whale vs. Shark

Web posted at: 11:28 p.m. EDT (0328 GMT) <!-- /date --> SAN FRANCISCO (http://www.cnn.com/EARTH/9710/08/whale.vs.shark/calif.lg.jpg) (CNN) -- Move over, Jaws. An underwater battle captured on videotape proves that killer whales are the kings of the sea.
The first known videotape of a clash between a killer whale and a great white shark has enthralled whale watchers all over the world.
"Nothing like this has been known to happen before," said Mary Jane Schramm, a naturalist who witnessed the attack Saturday off the Farallon Islands.
Marine biologists had assumed that the ocean's two big predators tended to avoid each other. But the tape shows otherwise.
The video was shot by wildlife enthusiasts on a cruise sponsored by the Oceanic Society. They were alerted by a radio transmission from a fisherman who had spotted two orcas in the area.
<table align="left" bgcolor="#cccccc" cellpadding="6" hspace="10" vspace="5" width="220"> <tbody><tr> <td align="center"> It's a whale of an attack!

QuickTime movie (http://www.cnn.com/EARTH/9710/08/whale.vs.shark/whale.shark.15.mov) </td></tr> </tbody></table> The expedition found the two killer whales -- a 20-foot-long female and a youngster about half her length -- were still there, swimming idly about.
"Then we noticed this dark shape moving in the water, giving the orcas a wide berth," Schramm said.
The adult orca veered toward the dark shape, and then surged to the surface with a 10-foot-long great white shark in her jaws. "We were stunned," Schramm said.
The killer whale eventually swam away from the boat and began thrashing the shark on the surface of the water, a practice orcas typically employ with their prey.
Around this time, Peter Pyle, a great white shark expert with the Point Reyes Bird Observatory, arrived on the scene. He got within 5 feet of the killer whales, then used a special underwater camera to record the attack.
Having made her kill, the victorious orca let her maternal instinct take over.
"The female apparently killed the shark, but she didn't eat it -- she was encouraging the calf to feed," Schramm said.
Schramm said the calf "especially liked the liver. You know how hard it can be to get kids to eat. Not him, though."

Petre , I am reffering to the first clip you posted. I seen the real footage years ago when it was recorded. I seen the footage when the guys were actually recording the event .. It's the same footage except what you posted had a TON of crap added into the original clip.
Anyway , have you seen a killer whale up Close ? I have , a full grown one at that ... Let me tell you , there is no way a killer whale can get its mouth around a large great white shark ... Though the whales are a larger creature , their mouths simply are not designed that way .. They would never be able to get their mouth around the girth of a shark.
As far as this clip , I can't view it for some reason.

Also , I have seen ki ller whales up close to my friend. A Killer whale can easily take a bite out of a large shark. Killer whales have been founf with everything from sharks to walrus' to polar bears to other killer whales to moose in them.
Part of most herds of killer whales diets is shark. This isn't a guess it's fact.

I said SHARKS .... there are numerous species of sharks ... this video is a killer whale killing a great white . THAT is rare but not at all surprising when you factor in size , strength and most importantly intelligence.
Shark ... particularly white tips and hammerheads are known to be a regular part of the (EDIT MISTAKE) KILLER WHALE diet.
Further ... Dolphins , one of the smartest creatures in the ocean are regularly killed by killer whales and are out smarted by them in the process.
Finally , although catching this on film was rare ... I'll bet you it happens much more often than most think. They compete for some of the same foods ... in particular seals. I'll bet encounters/confrontations are much more frequent than most think.

No Petre , I don't have jaws on my mind ... I'm just smart enough to know that even though this whale is larger then a shark , its not going to fit its mouth around a 3000lb shark ... Not to mention that its teeth are not designed to take huge bites of flesh.

Killer Whales can chop off large chunks outta big ass whales...sure the Orca does not have shredding teeth like a shark's...but its teeth is very similar to crocs. What it does is bite on flesh like a pitbull, and shake like a dog pulling on a towel, just like a croc's death roll (which both have conical teeth).
Another thing, an Orca can just ram against a shark's gills and suffocate the shit out of it.
Believe it or not, a shark, while a killing machine, is a very fragile animal, even a frighten seal have been know to injure sharks while fighting for their lives...an Orca is just a much more powerful animal, whith a major, major, advantage...INTELLIGENCE.
...and of course an Orca can't consume an entire whole shark, but it can certainly eat it in chunks.
Another thing...how many Orcas are really hunted, killed, and gutted nowadays? It would be very rare event indeed.

Killer Whale Facts
http://www.naturalhistorysantamaria.com/titansgrandopening2005/killerwhale.jpg
The killer whale is a toothed whale. Their only enemy is human beings. They live in small, close-knit, life-long pods and have 1 blowhole. The killer whale belongs to the family of dolphins and is the biggest dolphin. It is sometimes called the "wolf of the sea" because its behavior is similar to that of wolves. Killer Whales grow to be about 27-33 feet (8-10 m) long, weighing more than 8,000-12,000 pounds (3.600-5.400 kg). The male is larger than the female. They are the largest member of the dolphin family.
Killer Whales are efficient hunters that eat a very diverse diet of fish , squid , sharks , marine mammals (including whales and seals), turtles, octopi, and birds (penguins and gulls). They have even been known to attack young blue whales and other large whales. They have large, interlocking conical, enameled teeth distributed in both the upper and lower jaws (for a total of 20 to 26 pairs, so the orca has from 40 to 52 teeth). The teeth curve inwards and backwards - this helps the orca catch its prey. Teeth average about 3 inches long and about 1 inch in diameter, but some are even longer. Members of a pod frequently cooperate in hunts. An average-sized orca will eat 551 pounds of food a day. Killer Whales are very fast swimmers. They can swim up to 30 mph in order to catch prey.
Killer Whales vocalizations include clicks used in echolocation, whistles, and scream-like pulses. The sounds are used to communicate with other orcas, for mating purposes, and for locating prey. Different pods (long-lasting groups of Killer Whales) have distinctive "accents" and can recognize members by this accent.

The Great White Shark
http://www.naturalhistorysantamaria.com/titansgrandopening2005/greatwhite.jpg
The great white shark is a streamlined swimmer and a ferocious predator with 3,000 teeth at any one time. This much-feared fish has a torpedo-shaped body, a pointed snout, a crescent-shaped tail, 5 gill slits, no fin spines, an anal fin, and 3 main fins: the dorsal fin (on its back) and 2 pectoral fins (on its sides). When the shark is near the surface, the dorsal fin and part of the tail are visible above the water. Great whites average 12-16 feet long long. The biggest great white shark on record was 23 feet long, weighing about 7,000 pounds. (Average weight is 3000-5000 lbs) Females are larger than males, as with most sharks. Shark pups can be over 5 feet long at birth.
Young great white sharks eat fish, rays, and other sharks. Adults eat larger prey, including pinnipeds (sea lions and seals), small toothed whales (like belugas), otters, and sea turtles. They also eat carrion (dead animals that they have found floating dead in the water). Great whites do not chew their food. Their teeth rip prey into mouth-sized pieces which are swallowed whole. A big meal can satisfy a great white for up to 2 months.
------------------------
As can be seen in this description of the two from the Natural History Museum ... Killer Whales are ON AVERAGE ... MUCH bigger than a great white. The shear size disadvantage alone puts the Great White on the losing side of this equation. Add the strength , speed and agility of a Killer along with it's equally large mouth and there is no competition.
I would be willing to bet , most confrontations result in a Killer Whale purposefully and intelligently stalking / charging towards a great white , and the great white instictively retreating if not incapacitated by the first blow.
Though small here is an average size comparison ...

Even being bogus , it still doesn't show a whale killing a shark.

Dolphins take out Sharks ? Yet they are constantly finding dolphins in the stomachs of sharks ... Gee , how do you explain that one ..
You can bring your size difference up all you want. Bottom line is that for their size , their mouth is no larger. Not to mention the design of their jaw and teeth are not made for the type of attacks you are describing.
Face the facts buddy.
Yeah here's a fact for you ... 100's of eyewitness encounters of people saved by dolphins during a shark attack.
And here's another one ... Sharks eat dead things .... almost any dead thing , including dolphins. That hardly means they killed them.
You are really being a moron in this thread CYC ... I hate to tell ya.
Sharks are stupid creatures that run on predatory instinct .... Killer Whales and Dolphins are highly intelligent thinking creatures that organize , communicate and hunt in packs.

1. Learning a lesson to not do that again.

I guess you have a hard time reading and comprehending.
"Nothing like this has been known to happen before," said Mary Jane Schramm, a naturalist who witnessed the attack Saturday off the Farallon Islands.
... we noticed this dark shape moving in the water, giving the orcas a wide berth," Schramm said.
The adult orca veered toward the dark shape, and then surged to the surface with a 10-foot-long great white shark in her jaws. "We were stunned," Schramm said.
Sounds to me like the shark was pretty fucking alive .... but hey .... you watch Discovery. What do the people that were there and witnessed it know , compared to that ?

I'm curious CYC ... what part of this did you not understand ?
---------
The killer whale eventually swam away from the boat and began thrashing the shark on the surface of the water, a practice orcas typically employ with their prey.
Around this time, Peter Pyle, a great white shark expert with the Point Reyes Bird Observatory, arrived on the scene. He got within 5 feet of the killer whales, then used a special underwater camera to record the attack
------------
As I said before ... the filming began LONG after the actual attack began.

As for what you can or cannot see on water .... as someone that is "on water" frequently .... you're full of shit.
25 yards is less than the distance between my slip and the ones on the next dock. The waters are no where near as clear as that of oceanic waters. You can easily see large samon and other fish swimming under and around the docks and boats that are 2-3 feet long . To imply that someone could not see a 2 ton 10ft shark cruising at the surface of the water from 25 yards away is ridiculous. And to say that you could not see a 20+ foot Killer whale go after it is equally ridiculous.
Half your problem is you have no real experience on water , so you go by film alone which unfortunately , unless shot just right , shows too much reflection of water surface without the use of proper lenses or perfect lighting.
The fact that they say that the Killer also brought it to the surface and in fact thrashed it like it does most all it's prey .... I'm sure your not telling me that the shark was unidentifiable from that distance.
Finally , I never said the short underwater clip showed the attack on a live shark .... as stated many times .... the underwater camera arrived long after the confrontation began.
So .... here's a question for you CYC .... Do killer whales kill and eat live sharks?

Dude ... you have one seriously convoluted mind ... you need to go back and look at each post between us.
And once again ... you avoid the real issue. Do killers eat sharks ? And you cannot in any way dispute whether or not that particular killer whale killed that shark.
I see now very clearly how you think you win any arguements ... Delusion. Then again ... this is nothing new with you.
Hey ... did you know killer whales also kill and eat humpback whales ... when their done with them , great whites swoop in and eat what's left of the dead carcass.

You are saying that killer whales hunt , kill and eat full grown Great white sharks ... Yet , you have no evidence of this.

Also after seeing the original video , can you please comment regarding the editing of Petre's initial video he posted.

There you go ... twisting what I said completely.
I actually never made that statement ... but as I said ... your mind is so convoluted that's all you've had on the brain. Even when I repeatedly baited the question purposely leaving out "GREAT WHITE" .... having said that ... there is little doubt to all but you that a Killer Whale, killed this particular great white. The only one that can't seem to admit that is you.
You even laughingly go so far as to say the eyewitnesses couldn't tell a dead shark from a live one ... even though they described it's movements.
Finally .... if we are simply argueing a "what if" scenario ... there is little doubt a full grown Killer Whale could take on a Great white and win ... I'd bet with ease.
Great whites are cautious preditors that are easily frightened away. They would rather eat something dead , which is in their nature , than kill something . Not that they don't kill plenty. But they will release and run very easily. Seals have escaped great whites by clawing them .
Killer whales play hackysac with seals.
Great whites bite and then wait for them to bleed to death.
Killer whales bite , hold onto them and with their tremendous strength pound them to peices.
When it comes to strength , speed, size, agility, intelligence and let's not forget they're amazing sonar location ability for precision strikes .... killer whales win every time.
A killer whale vs a great white 9 out of 10 times is the equivolent of bringing a gun to a knife fight.
And a regular part of many killer whales diets is in fact sharks . And they don't scavenge them.
:kick:
Oh .... and did you know Killer Whales kill HUMP BACK Whales ?
You do know that's how they got their name ... right? Because they're whale killers ?
Of course you did ... you watch Discovery!!!

You even laughingly go so far as to say the eyewitnesses couldn't tell a dead shark from a live one ... even though they described it's movements.
Movements  The footage starts like half of a football field away in choppy water .. Anyone with half a brain knows you can't see an underwater attack from that far away .. Not to mention , the shark was already dead.
ARE YOU DISPUTING THIS ? ARE YOU TELLING ME IN THAT CLIP , THEY COULD SEE AN UNDERWATER ATTACK ???

I looked at the footage you posted (cnn link) and watching that independent of the story and this fight on the internet, I would not surmise that a killer whale killed a great white. Whatever the Orca bit at in the end of the video looked to be floating on the water and seemingly dead.
Nor does the video petre posted in the beginning conclusively show a great white being attacked by a killer whale.
With all that being said, I cannot easily dispute the witnesses and the story, or my personal belief that Orcas are probably the baddest mother fuckers in the ocean. I wouldn't argue with a marine biologist on this matter.

Isn't 10 foot not very big for a great white? Like Lennox Lewis killing Hatton or something?

I really love how you twist arguements in a desperate attempt to win a debate.
From what was initially nothing but a facetious retort to Octopus' Shark attacks Whale thread ... to this nonsense where you're so busy trying to be right that you can't even stick to the actual points being made.
Now you hang on the CNN footage which was obviously an extremely short edited sequence of the KW eating something ... which in the interview it even states the guy got there long after the attack started.
Finally ... On the ocean , where waters are actually very clear and you can see incredible distances ... you have as example lets say ... Life guards along ocean shores that spot sharks 100's of yards off shore. If you think for a moment they could not see a large dark mass of something cruising the area obviously alive and swimming at 25 yards , and then when the attack began and the KW brought it out of the water to the surface that it had in fact struck a Great White ... you're just an idiot.
On a side note ... I really should recap the banter ... it would be hilarious to see what a raving loon you are.
You win the debate because I don't argue with morons .... but here's the latest invention to make life easier for you when you "win" debates.

Well, I also disagree with the amount of distance you can see underwater, especially in the kind of water it looks to be in. 25 yards seems to be a long way unless you are in the crystal blue, devoid of chop, and on a sunny day. Of course I've seen underwater footage before and it is beautifully clear but I think certain variables would have to be in place to get optimal conditions.
Edit - I checked...North Atlantic visibility can be anywhere from 50 ft to 115 ft optimum conditions. So I guess it is possible.
Of course I do think the first clip is edited, it's obvious that two different camera's shot the above water and below water shots. I don't, however, think it is indicative of dishonesty.

Of course I do think the first clip is edited, it's obvious that two different camera's shot the above water and below water shots. I don't, however, think it is indicative of dishonesty.
And then take into account that this wasn't a 10lb bass swimming around ...it was a 10' 1+ton Great White.

Bro , you can hear them talking .. The fin of of the orca was far enough away for them to start debating if it was an Orca fin..
There is no way in fucking hell they could have seen an underwater attack from where they were ... Fuckin superman wouldn't even be able to do that ..

No Petre , YOU ARE INCORRECT ...
They showed from start to finish as they arrived on the sceen from a long distance back , kept filming until they got close , filmed what they seen along with what they were saying during this situation.
The only edit in the documentry was when after the fact and the incident was already shown , they cut and continued on with the documentry.
SO YOU ARE WRONG !
Dispute evidence ??  You haven't shown any evidence as of yet !
What in the hell does a video being edited or not edited prove???
Just because it isn't edited don't mean that it CAN'T be fake, and just because it is edited doesn't automatically mean that it is a fraud of any kind.
When will CYC explain his wacko theories on editing?
And yes, you dumbfuck, everything you have seen on film or video has been edited in some way. Welcome to 1922.

2 - IN COMPARISON TO THE CNN FOOTAGE , DO YOU THINK YOUR INITIAL YOUTUBE CLIP WAS EDITED AND HAD ADDITIONAL FAKE CRAP ADDED IN ?

You can't even explain what editing vs non editing of a video has anything to do with whether or not it is fake.

So why are you using the clips editing as somehow meaning it is fake, since a clip can also be fake when not edited at all.

If you still don't understand , then thats something you are going to have to figure out on your own. It has already been explained.
