Petre, if you want ONE Ron Paul thread, that's fine. We can keep all Ron Paul discussion in one thread, but for you to be the only one posting is ridiculous.

If you want a Ron Paul discussion, then by all means, start one. But if you just want to post Ron Paul articles and not allow anyone to comment on or debate them, then there are plenty of free internet message boards that are very easy to set up. I suggest you find one, and post about Ron Paul to your heart's content.

Personally, I like Petre and I welcome and appreciate all the content he brings to the board, of which without it, Fightbeat wouldn't be nearly as entertaining or informative. That being said, I think it's crystal clear he has no business being a moderator.

I don't think you can lock a thread . What you can do is request a mod or admin to do it and update it in the same manner.

Petre, you are seriously misguided on this one. There is nothing sissified about wanting a free and open discussion of all topics. The real baby in this situation is the guy that locked a thread in order to avoid people providing their feedback.

It seems to me that you are having real trouble dealing with opposing views about the status and standing of Ron Paul. Unfortunately the sharing of differing viewpoints, regardless of bias, is what keeps discussions interesting.

I made the thread and tried that experiment hoping to be surprised but expecting it to fail. I posted in the MOD forum I was going to do it.

But as I stated above ... time and again the name calling was being done even though I'd already given in almost immediately. The tinfoil hat nonsense he kept spewing had far less to do with any current discussion then my racist slant on him. First, If Petre can lock or sticky threads about people he supports then I suggest each candidate be given the same chance. This of course will clutter the board. So I would have to propose that a politics forum be started, which will end up dying and being a waste of bandwidth that will be extremely less visited than TAAA. Therefore, no locking or stickying of your threads because of some "failed social experiment".

Second, this is a discussion board. Everyone here has the same ability to visit the same sites Petre can go to, there is really no reason to sticky very many things, except rules, temporary contests, etc. Polls and personal threads should not be protected as such, if it dies...it dies. If you get called out or "owned", then deal with it and stop crying.

Third, and lastly, I am quite surprised that Petre pulled the racist card.
