he is hands down the best fight analizer/commentator out of all boxers ever and HBO is pretty stupid to let him go and replace him with those idiots Steward/Lewis.

he wouldn't be bad if he fixed his act. He talked about himself too much and was very bias in his commentary

well, he was right in that fight.

Roy is a superb analyst. I prefer Czyz, but they are both sublime, imo. I like Lennox and Steward, but they are not even close to as good.

Roy Jones is fantastic as a boxer/analyst. He is almost as good an analyst as he is/was a professional boxer.:bears:

Jones eventually became a good commentator, but he had a habit of no-showing events. He deserved to get fired.

This rings a bell. Was it directly involved in his dismissal, though?

He never no-showed an event. He no showed production meetings. HBO wanted him to know about the fighters backstory and how they got to where he was, but Roy felt that he was hired to analyze the fight, not the fighters.

I do think Roy was right. Why does he have to know that Holyfield has 24 kids?

Steward is more miss than hit these days, and Lewis, much as I liked him as a fighter, is rotten in the studio...Jones was always a favorite of mine in the commentary box even when I was disgusted with his in the ring antics..

Roy is hands down better than Lewis and Steward. Steward just fucking annoys me. He makes it out like he predicted everything that goes down in every fucking round. guys a fucking retard.

I know I'll be in the minority here, but I liked big George in there. He made me laugh especially when he would go at it with Merchant:laughing:

After Roy, I liked Foreman best. I didn't think he was that bad of a commentator, I actually thought he was good.

I do think Roy was right. Why does he have to know that Holyfield has 24 kids?I remember him no-showing an event. It was a Fernando Vargas fight, against Winky Wright or someone. He was fired, but re-hired.

Lewis was pretty good in the Taylor/Pavlik fight and also did good in the Taylor/Wright fight I feel. Manny Steward would be alright if he wasn't so biased.

foreman during the jones-griffen rematch

roy jones is playing the feinting game and griffen is benefitting by it

as he says that roy throws a vicious hookercut and knocks griffens head into the 15th roy
