Are you just picking Hughes and Liddell because you like them more or do you have legit reasoning?

GSP and Silva.

I think Silva is completely shot. He got killed his last 2 fights, much worse then Liddell did in his. Plus, the rumors are Liddell has been in rehab and has cleaned himself up. He looks like he's in great shape, and there's no way he overlooks Silva and just goes through the motions hoping for a lucky KO like he did against Jardine.

Obviously both fighters have a punchers chance and one lucky shot from either fighter can end the fight in an instand, but I think Liddell takes it.

As for GSP\Hughes, I think GSP is ridiculously overated. I know he's a very good fighter, but people make him out to be some unstoppable monster, which he isn't. Hell, Matt Serra, who was a journeyman fighter before his return to the UFC, walked right through GSP with no trouble at all.

And people love to bash Hughes, I guess because of his 'personality', but he is one of the best fighters of his time. How many times has he pulled a victory out of nowhere? He's beaten GSP, he's beaten BJ Penn, he's beaten Royce Gracie, he's beaten Sean Sherk, etc, etc, etc.

The bottom line is, Hughes isn't some no talent ham and egger like many people make him out to be. I think GSP can win the fight, but I think Hughes will win the fight.

That's the thing that scares me about picking against Liddell. He looked 100 times better at the weigh-in yesterday than he did against Rampage or Jardine. If he has legitimately busted his ass training for this then I like his chances. Based on his physical appearance, it looks like the rumors might be right.

TFKproblem with Hughes GSP is that it doesnt seem likely that Matt can take Georges down, and it seems less likely that Matt can beat Georges standing

And dont make such a big deal about those names that Matt has beaten....Matt has also lost to GSP and BJ....GSP has beaten Matt, beaten BJ (shoulda been a draw, admittedly), beaten Sherk MUCH worse than Matt did, and Royce was NOTHING win Matt beat him......so that part of your argument really goes nowhere to backing up your prediction

You needed approval so much that you posted twice?

It's all good. I was looking for props in the "place your bets now" thread because I told everyone to bet on Cunningham by KO at 9-1 odds but got nothing. I know how you feel:lol:
