my resolution..

one mile a day for 365 days

it may not seem like shit for Cardio.. but I do other stuff.. you guys know, I workout quite a bit..

but my resolution is to do 1 mile every single day. I dont care if I'm sick, hungover, tired.. WHAT... I'm doing one every day

and I'm not talking about a stroll.. I'm aiming for 5 min miles..

If you keep doing a mile a day don't you think it'b be better to move to two miles sometime down the road instead of 365 days of one mile? It's gonna get pretty damn easy after a while.. I myself did an hour's worth of cardio today:bears:

lol

nah man.. that's it.. one mile

it's funny cuz I used to run 10 miles 3 times a week..

while I am pretty flexible and my strength is good, my wind has gotten pretty lousy

anyway.. I hope it does get easy as shit.. I'll just run them fast.. I hope to get to where I can just go all out for 4 laps (one mile)

you know, I did a lot of cardio before, like walking up a steep hill for an hour on the treadmill or stair climber.. just easy pace for a long time..

now I'm going the other way.. I did my cardio today in under 7 minutes and my heart really got a workout

This might actually be a good warmup for me prior to hitting the weights at home. Damn, LOK, you're coming up with some good stuff here. It's good but not too much.

Man Buddy, I just can not rave about this enough

the Mile a day seems like nothing but I LOVE it.. I'm aiming for sub 5 min miles.. (I ran a 4:47) in HS and I really believe that I can still obtain that or better!

depending on my schedule though some of my miles are around my neighborhood pushing my daughter in her jogging stroller..

thanks Steve, it's just routine.. I think once you get in a routine after so many days.. it's just part of the routine.. I have lost 15 lbs now and getting stronger!

You know what? I want to get in on this. I'm not totally sure how long a mile is though.

I started running a few months back but stopped because I wasn't really motivated. I think something like this could be fun.

I think I might do this as a way to relax in between increasingly longer and longer runs. That way I do SOME cardio, but nothing killer.

I have a bad flu right now, but I guess the rules are you go no matter what? I think I want to start when I feel better.

well.. my own personal rules are no matter what.

I have done it drunk before and I've done it hung over.. I have done it when I'm SOOO full that I almost throw up

but.. when you feel good and do it.. it's awesome

tonight I'll do it and then have a 32 oz highlife afterwards... MMMMMM!!!

If you can do it, great, Lokster. It's a bitch though. A guy I knew in High School had to work like hell to get his down to 4mins30secs, and he was built like one of those greyhound dogs.

Still, the effort alone will make the pounds pour off. No more jiggly titties when you fight your next watermelon!

I was doing 5 mins or so in HS but I was 50lbs lighter! lol

since xmas I have lost now 17lbs and am stronger than I've been in years.. so it's all working.. the one armed chin though seems further away than the 5 min mile:doh: I am still chinning daily and for 1 solid week now I've been doing 500 situps daily as well

Yeah, with the baby I've lazed off a bit as well. Still, I'm at about 200lbs, down from 220, and I have kept all the muscle, so I'm looking better than I have in quite some time. It's easier when I talk about it online because it reminds me to keep going. Plus, I can't let you get too far ahead of me in progress. It would depress me too much!

I have changed it up just a bit..

I'm still doing one mile every day..

but at least 3-4 days a week I"m doing 5 miles now

yesterday I did 5 and it felt great! I think this will be the last thing I need to get me back to where I was a while back.. I will say this is the first time in several years that I have a 6 pack again.. I think another month of this and I'll be pretty lean
