Griffin and Tibau:
Tibau is a big lightweight. He's 5ft10 and Griffin is 5ft6.
They meet in the centre of the ring.
Rd1: Griffin firing leg kicks and trying to land rights. Gleison clinching and Tyson landing a bunch of good stand up including a thrust kick. Gleison says "Fuck this" and gets a big takedown. Tyson eludes a crucifix and almost gets a takedown but Gleison reverses it.

Gleison neutralizing Tyson's clinch. A few exchanges and then Tibau takes him down again. Gtriffin wobbles Gleison with a right. Tyson's legkicks are starting to sting Gleison. Griffin dominating on their feet. Griffin gets taken down again and then he springs back up.
ArturoGatti

They clinch for the first minute, then they trade punches. Tibau scores anothe rtakedown, but Tyson stands back up. Griffin goes back to controling the stand up with right hands. Tibau gets another takedown, but Griffin gets right back up again.

Another takedown from Tibau. and this time he is able to keep it on the ground for a while, but Griffin scrambles out. Griffin lands a good body shot, another takedown, and another cramble by Griffin. Connecting with body punches again. Clinch. Foot stomps from Griffin. Griffin lands a right before the bell.
10-9 Tibau.
29-28 for Griffin.
Buddy Rydell
02-02-2008, 11:33 PM
Rd3:
Tyson eats a big left hand and runs right in with a hard legkick. Gleison lands the takedown again, no problem. Gleison gets another takedown and then Tyson springs back up again. Tyson doing more in the standup. Gleison looked relly defensive. Tyson wanted it more and threw more while also committing more.
Judges all see it 30-27 for Tyson Griffin. Guess thoe takedowns didn't offset Gleison's reluctance on his feet.

Ricardo Almeida and Rob Yundt:
LOL. Looks like Bruce Buffer just got hit in the head with the videocamera as Yundt came jogging into the ring!
Almeida coming into the lamest music I've ever heard at a UFC ( a little bit country and a lot retarded). It's almost as bad as Peter McNeeley's music when he went in to fight Tyson, and that music sounded like a retard was singing it.
Rd1:
Ricardo "Bigdog" Almeida. Yundt gets taken down with a really lazy looking chute attempt. Yundt gets choked out after trying to flip his way out of it. Didn't look like a good guillotine, but Almeida held that stuff nicely even while getting flipped onto the back of his head.
A guillotine with an arm in. Good job.

Horn always looks like he has a soft tummy. One of the few guys who makes Chuck look like he has ripped abs. Jeremy looks like a redneck nerd, but if he gets ahold of you, he'll rip something apart.
They lock up and they neutralize the thai knees. Marquardt takes him down and Horn pulls guard. Horn EATING BOMBS. Marquardt throwing the lumber. They stand up. Jeremy tiws a throw and loses top position. Big elbow gels Horn's legs. Horn pulls guard and lands a couple of flailing kicks. Almost cinches an omoplata and then a gogoplata.
Horn reverses. Sweeps...and the round ends.

David Heath and Tim Boetsch:
Rd1:
Boetsch comes out to Anvil of Crom, the Conan theme. Looks a bit soft in the gut. Heath looks even softer. LOL
Tim The Barbarian. LMAO. Herb Dean's stomach looks tighter.
Boetsch throws a spinning backfist that misses by 6ft. Boetsch thrust kicks and slaps Heath back. Heath spits a loogie out and eats a Boetsch right hand. Heath keeps getting thrustkicked to the gut. Both guys are gunshy, and then Heath gets dropped. Boetsch lands three consecutive knees.
Boetsch threw Heath on his head. FACEFIRST. Then he threw a bunch of really small shitty punches, but Heath was already almost completely out from LANDING ON HIS FACE!!!! LMFAO.

the weird thing is that he's supposed to train like a freak in boxing, and indeed his techinique is quite good, he just got no talent for it, easy to hit, unalble to pull the trigger, soft puncher, doesn't move his head,... but what a fucking chin and heart.

Emerson throwing tons of strikes and then he eats a big knee which sends him to the canvas. I still think Emerson won the round.

Emerson throws and lands a ton, and fails to hurt this guy. Emerson apparently can't hit too hard. Actually, scratch that. Nakamura may have a really good chin but he has a bad cut under his right eye and it's also swelling a lot.

Lots of sloppy missing. Kinda sleepy actually. Emerson might finally have a notch in the win category.

I feel Nog would beat Couture and quite easilly too, Nog's on the way down, but he's better than Couture and The natural is bound to show his age really soon.BTW Nog lost to Rodriguez too it's just hidden as a W on his record

How? Couture is the better striker and if he don't want the fight to go to the ground it's not going there.

Oh, there opened and your entitled to your opinion but I'm saying its one of this thing that might not turn out as you envision.Randy's standup looked good against a Sylvia with a damaged back ,so I'll just take the wait and see approach on that one.

I think Couture is definitively the sneakier and heavier puncher of the two, but Nog got better boxing skills ( Couture is very lacking in that area, he does good ''dirty boxing'' but his textbook skills are awfull ) and he's far more relax, imo, he could easilly outbox the smaller Couture and survived the occasionnal bomb.

Excuses don't matter. Couture boxed the shit out of Sylvia. Beat his ass. Anyone pay attention to defense because Nog don't have any. It's ridiculous to rely on your jaw as much as he does. You eventually fight the wrong guy and that don't work out so well. Nog is a great, great fighter but a wrestler with good boxing is the perfect person to beat him (besides Fedor of course).

It does when it serves your argument like Chuck being past it is the reason why he lost to Jardine:lol:.........Anyway,In this case it does matter.Sylvia had 3 bad disc in his back.Coutures standup is not all that.

Here's a little information about bad backs, they don't exactly go away. If your back is fucked it will never go back to where it was. Syvia got outboxed and got his ass kicked against Couture, quite a bit different than what happened tonight. Couture is all around better on the feet than punching bag Nog. that poor guy is going to be sipping food through a straw after all is said and done.

But.It doesn't matter, they'll never fight anyway so this talk is pointless.Randy's going out with a bang later this year.

He can fight whoever he wants in any promotion he wants,he's a free agent he's not hiding behind anything. Its the fighter under the UFC slave contract that don't have that option .It seem that its the UFC fighters that are being protected

ufc 81 had several very memorable moments.
The whole Mir/Lesnar spectacle, the main event, the guy pulling guard on the ref, "the throw", the awesome gullotine submission from that Brazilian guy, and Robert Emerson announced as "The Saint".

from sherdog:
With a clear head, Nogueira slowed the pace of the fight in the second round and began out-boxing Sylvia with crafty footwork and pesky left jabs. His many takedown attempts were stuffed, but that didn't matter because the Brazilian, fighting out of Rio De Janeiro in a gym that houses the likes of Anderson Silva (http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfinder.asp?fighterID=1356), was putting on a virtual boxing clinic

The UFC does the opposite of protect fighters. DO you pay attention to this sport at all? :notallthere: Fedor isn't interested in fight real competition whether it's in the UFC or not. it's pathetic. It would be like Floyd Mayweather fighting Robert Frankel.

If that's the case then the Randy vs Fedor fight would of been made a long time ago.Fedor has the freedom to fight where and who he wants, a UFC fighter doesn't have that option which is why Randy left. The UFC and there slave contract is why they couldn't keep Randy or sign Fedor

Are you kidding me?? Dana White has stated multiple times that he will NOT co-promote any fight. He know damn well that if he doesn't sign Fedor, its a losing situation. If Fedor were to beat his heavyweight champion, that will throw any legitimacy to the UFC heavyweight division out the window. In case you haven't been paying attention... Fedor and Randy are going to fight later this year, they just have to wait till Randy is free of that cunt Dana Whites grasp. Fedor and Randy are gonna do it without that bitch.

He only fought on one UFC card(UFC 17 in some tournament I think) before going to Pride.Pride is the promotion that made him well known and its where he established himself as a top fighter and that's where most of his fights was fought.
EDIT:And Dan is not a UFC Champion right now.

I won't argue with that:clap:
Couture acts like he's beaten everyone there is to beat at heavyweight and the only one worthy to face him his Fedor. I know he wants to go out on his last fight with a bang, but he could beat Fedor and it still won't make him the greatest heavyweight of all times. He's way too inconsistent and I know he's done some great things, but I don't get why people think he's one of the greatest fighters ever. He's been owned badly at both heavyweight and lightheavy and a lot of his status is unjustified.

When is an MMA fighter 100%? Seriously if you want to use injury excuses you can use it for every single fight for these guys. Anyone wonder why Couture took the Sylvia fight when most thought he couldn't win? it's because he owned his ass in training to.

The UFC does what it should do considering they are the premier organization in the sport. They don't protect fighters they have under contract though. They all fight each other and sometimes multiple times. if they were trying to protect certain people guys like Nogjackson and Silva wouldn't have gotten title shots so quickly.
