This old fuck simply cant score fights anymore. How he had Williams winning I have no idea.

That was alot closer then alot of people made out. I gave Williams 6 rounds. The main difference was that the rounds Williams won were close and the rounds Quintana won were all clear. When you add up each round it was close.

There was one round that Harold gave to Williams(the 9th I believe) that Quintana countered the shit outta Williams, and that Stevie Wonder could see Quintana won.

I'm not sure what fight he was watching, I have agreed with him more than usual in the last 2 years, but he was daffy today

Harold is letting his interpretation of style effectiveness determine his scoring, rather than actual landed punches. We all have some issues with that, but it's cropping up more for him now, and I don't know why.

It really made no sense. Sometimes he can be spot on, other times he is so far in left field, he's in a football stadium. I wish Jake was here to appolgize for him, so we could take out our frustration in person :lol:

That's the one, at first I thought he was getting the fighters mixed up in the previous rounds or the graphics got the fighters mixed up.....then when I seen the 11th and Harold say Willaims won that round, I laughed my ass off at first, but then wondered if he actually had Alzheimers :eeeek:

Maybe Harold just doesn't give a fuck anymore. He's paid to sit there and judge a fight, but maybe he just wants to sit there and enjoy the fight. So rather than really judging it he's just watching and enjoying and basically halfassing who won the rd or not.

I know I have to watch a fight differently when I'm really judging it than when I'm just watching for tainment.

Well, you don't exactly test your theory using the scientific method.

Scoring a fight is not as easy and generally not as fun as just watching the fight and enjoying it. It's far easier to get swayed by the announcing and the punch stat numbers and the last 30 seconds or so.

Rewatching a fight to score it is worthwhile sometimes, but you already know the outcome and it's pretty much impossible to be as objective about it as you would have been scoring the first time.

The fight wasnt close. To quote Kellerman, the story of the fight was "Carlos Quintana punches Paul Williams in the face".

And the rounds Paul won were close.

This is one of the classic Lederman cards like Floyd Mayweather being behind Jesus Chavez after 7 and Juan Manuel Marquez losing to Marco Antonio Barrera.
