I think Floyd loses to a prime Tito at 147. He also would struggle with a prime DLH, and Quartey. He beats Whitaker though.

Tito, DLH, Ike, and Whitaker clean house with the rest of the division.

Oh man how I would have loved to see a matchup between Margarita & the welter Trinidad. Tito woulda put Phony on life support.

Trinidad was one of the Top 20 welterweights of all-time. He would clean out today's division easy, including Miguel Cotto.

Yep a prime Dela and Tito would easily clean up todays division.

The most intriguing matchups would be Cotto vs Quartey and Whitaker vs Mayweather.

All four of those guys were top ten P4P fighters. None of them lose to today's fighters.

Mayweather, Mosley and Cotto are the only ones who could hang with the 90s Welterweights.

Stylewise Mayweather beats Trinidad, no doubt.

De La Hoya gives Floyd hell and the fight plays out pretty much like their 154lb fight did

Floyd beats Whitaker on a close somewhat disputed UD

Quartey could possibly beat Floydm stylewise, but again I'd go with Floyd

Cotto beats Quartey, gets stopped by both trinidad and De La Hoya and loses a close decision to Whitaker

Mosley loses to Tito, already beat Oscar, loses a decision to Quartey beats Whitaker by close disputed decision.

Great stuff Sly, as usual,

I agree with almost all your picks, aside from Shane losing to Tito, I always felt that Shane would beat Tito, esp later on when Tito was the plodder that fight both DLH and Hopkins..

I think Floyd totally outclasses Tito

Pea IMO could beat everyone today aside from maybe FLoyd.. maybe Cotto

I think Cotto at the stage he is at now would be very good fights with DLH. I think Cotto would be a fight and could possibly win a lot of these fights

Mosley doesn't belong in that list. He belongs to same tier and generation Trinidad, De La Hoya, Quartey are in.

All three would destroy Cintron, Clottey, Quintana and Williams.

Whitaker was already past-prime in the mid-nineties and all but washed up when he met Tito in 99, but still, except for Floyd, I'd pick the early 90's Pea (even the 97 version that fought Oscar) to decision everyone on that list. He loses to Mayweather though.

A 37 year-old Mosley gave Cotto all he could handle. The Shane that beat Oscar in 00 would've given him a beatdown.

Cotto loses to Ike, Tito and DLH, and probably via late KO too.

I honestly can't see Mayweather beating the prime, undefeated versions of Trinidad, Oscar and Quartey at welter.

I think Quartey wasn't on the same level as those other guys. He was very good, but never beat the real quality opposition he faced. For instance, Shane, ODLH, & Tito all have wins over Vargas and Quartey is the only one who doesn't.

I'd give Floyd and Cotto a good chance against Quartey.

Floyd would Rape Ike.. and I am a big fan of Ike!

Pea really only ever lost to Tito.. that was a legit loss and a great performance by Tito.. but I think Pea was already smoking crack and not really training at all

prime Pea and Prime Floyd would be the fight to see

washed up Pea beat DLH IMO and a prime Pea would have taken DLH to school

I think a Prime DLH and Prime Cotto would be a great fight and I really can't call it:dunno:

I agree with everything you said, only I dont see a prime Oscar stopping Cotto. I pick DLH by decision.

Tito sure as hell woulda stopped Cotto though.

No way in hell would Floyd "rape" a prime Ike. I could see him winning out a very close decision, but "rape" is outta the question. A prime Quartey would be hell for Floyd. Floyd had trouble with the jab of an old Hoya. Quartey's jab would do worse. Actually, the chances of a prime Ike beating Floyd are high. Quartey was lightyears better than Bumlomir, and Hatton, and was considerably better than an old DLH.

I'm as big a Floyd fan as any, but he really gets overrated in these MM's when comparing him to Welters.

I am a huge fan of Ike, but really I think he is getting over-rated. His dominate wins over people like Tiger Jones etc... they were exciting fights! but I feel that he was a pretty straight up fighter, jab right hand and not really a good "boxer" I think FLoyd would just domintate him with skill
