New York City (April 3, 2008) - The truth has finally been revealed regarding one of sports' darkest hours. Former prize fighter Luis Resto admitted today at a press conference in New York City that he not only battered "Irish" Billy Collins Jr. for ten rounds during a boxing (http://fightbeat.com/news_details.php?NW=21407#) match, with padding-removed gloves, but that his knuckles were pre-cast with tape soaked in plaster of Paris - before the hollowed gloves were placed over his fists.

Yes, this is WAY worse than doing steroids. Or are you joking?

Both put your opponent at risk. Steroids probably puts him more at risk of a life-threatening injury than loaded gloves, this instance being an exception.

I think the difference is a lot less than most would say at first.

No, because he still breathes.

If they do an investigation of Felix Trinidad you will be disgusted by his and Don King's criminal behavior. Regardless, he was a sub-elite fighter especially once his cement wraps were called out by Bernard Hopkins . I believe this is Hopkins' greatest contribution to the sport. Unfortunately, this cheat MADE A FORTUNE.

Agreed with your point. Both give you unfair edge to hurt your opponent worse. Yet, if a guy uses plaster of Paris, he is banned from the sport forever and gets probably jail time too. Yet fighters are never tested during training seasons for steroids and even if they get caugh, they et minimal fine and like 6 months of ban from fighting, ie. no punnishment at all

Steroids are good. The problem is that the don't let them take them. Regardless, the two forms of cheating aren't remotely comparable. Especially because both sides are usually taking them. You guys are making equal a dui with a violent assault and battery.
