Am I the only one who thinks this? I originally when the fight came off was picking Campbell, cuz like many others I got a bit caught up in the post-Diaz Campbell hype, but Ive changed my mind. I think Guzman is gonna outbox Campbell. The baby cow's style was favorable for Campbell, but Guzman's isnt. Joan's speed and movement are gonna be hell for Campbell. I'm picking Guzman by UD.
So that means I'm picking two upsets in two weeks, cause I'm also picking Katsidis to beat Diaz. So when I'm right. I'll look like genius!
But seriously, anyone else picking Guzman?

i still can't decide on who's gonna win this fight. i like both fighters so it doesnt matter as to whoever comes out on top. i slightly favor campbell based on size and guzman's diminished power.

REED Can't See Nate Losing for the Next Year or 2, Unless he Moves up to 140...He's N a GROOVE Now & REED Thinks Finally WINNING a Title will Only Make Nate BETTER...
Nate's STILL Hungry & Let's Not Forget, he & Guzman Exchanged Some NASTY Insults...Point Being, Nate WON'T "Sleep" on his Preparation for Guzman...
On Top of All That, REED Thinks the DRASTIC Weight GAINING is Bound to Catch Up to Guzman @ Some Point...Nate Campbell will B THE BEST Fighter Guzman's Fought, @ the HEAVIEST Weight of Guzman's Career...
REED"ll Take Nate N this 1...

Guzman won't be the underdog.
And shouldn't be.

X - surely Guzman is not the betting underdog? He is surely the favourite?
I think a lot of us did get caught up in the hype of him battering Diaz, but rightfully so really. It was a very good, dominant performance over a decent, young, undefeated champion.
If he can pull out another performance as solid as that one, he'll beat Guzman.

I'll take Guzman in a fight that has controversy in both the decision and other things.

Hard to pick
Might have to go with Guzman on this one. Definitely a decision.
I think Guzman will win - but then again I don't rate Nate that highly.

Nate is nothing special. Just a decent boxer-puncher with good power on his right hand. Guzman should have not much problems dealing with him.

As good as this fight looks, I think Guzman's lack of power and size are going to lose him the fight. Power and/or size make Campbell look like crap.
Campbell will try to maul Guzman and make him smother his punches.
Even still, this will be a VERY close fight. I'm rooting for Guzman on this one even though I really like both.

Same here. But I'm a little more confident in picking Guzman to win. I believe if need be, he'll find a way to keep Nate off of him. I just hope he doesn't turn it into a stinker, but regardless he's been my pick to win ever since he announced his intentions of moving up to lightweight.
That said, I readily admit that I'm not the most objective source when it comes to his career.

Nate will knock Guzman out...Guzman is a one handed fighter, Nate's going to stop his little ass garanteed.
Why does everyone keep referring to Guzman as a small fighter? If anything, he's the naturally bigger of the two, the exception being if Nate goes James Toney in between fights, which I don't believe is the case.
Guzman was walking around in the 150's in between fights while at super bantamweight, and that was without completely letting himself go during downtime. Much like Pacquiao-Diaz, people will be surprised at how insignificant the size difference will be.

Nate looked big at the BHOF weekend.

Campbell is bigger, but not by much.
Size wont be a big factor in this fight.

Try watching him fight. :notallthere: He's worse than Razor Ruddock in terms of his one handedness.

I've got Nate for most of the reasons you've mentioned.
At 135, Nate is hell for anyone (including Pacquiao).
Nate's bigger and slicker than anyone I can think of Guzman facing. The best I can see Guzman doing is stinking up the joint like he did against Soto. I stopped watching after a few rounds.
Nate's a bit awkward himself and with the reach disparity, it's possible Guzman will have a difficult time getting off his shots.
I like Nate

yeah, Soto was coming up just short with his right hands, nate will land those especially if Guzman goes to the ropes.
