n It was my first MMA event and i was very impressed with the show. Of course UFC has a more polished production, Affliction definately held its own.
It was more of a relaxed, party like setting than boxing events. I was very impressed at how approachable the fighters were. I seriously met at least 10-15 top fighters and bullshitted with them like I was at a party or something. I saw lots of other athletes as well. James Toney and Judah were there I also saw Strahan. The only person who was sort of a dick was Michael Buffer. Go figure, he has the best job in the world and he acts like a crabby bitch.
I talked with Stitch Duran for a while and he is as cool as fuck. He said he loves cornering both sports and when I asked him how he liked the event he responded "my feet still havent touched the ground".
The atmosphere was fantastic following 2 devastating knockouts by Barnett and Arlovski. This atmosphere was amplified 100x when Fedor walked into the ring like an unassuming plumber and ferociously mauled Timmy. The place went fucking nuts. I seriously have never seen electricity like that in a sporting event live. It was crazy.
Definately looking forward to more shows in the future.
