Now that Maergarito has beaten Cotto, will the Golden boy fight him in his final fight?

I think he will, actually! In fact I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it yet

He wants Pacman. Less risk, more lucrative.

Great. Another half-assed effort from the Golden Boy for $60. The only joy I'd get in seeing this is praying Margarito KHTFO.

I'd say it is more likely that DLH fights Cotto rather than Margarito, if you notice DLH's pattern. This is if the Pacquaio fight falls through of course.

I'd love to see DLH fight Margarito in his final fight but I don't think it will happen. As mentioned above Pacquiao is a bigger name and more importantly Oscar would have a significant size advantage which equals less risk.
I think Margarito would be a more intreaguing fight. A better fight. A fight where Oscar would really see where he really is right now as he leaves the sport. He'd have a hand speed advantage over Margarito but it would come down to whether or not he could survive the pressure of Margarito.
But after what happened when he fought BHopkins....I don't think he'd want to risk getting in the ring with someone the same size or slightly bigger than him.
delahoya will fight margarito (or cotto) around the same time you see a shirtless joke king doing bowflex commercials

DLH wouldn't fight Margarito with a cannon. I think DLH might try to catch Cotto on the comeback. I think he will fight Manny. Manny is too small to hurt the golden goose. DLH retired 5 years ago. Who cares. He just shows up to get paid and fights like it too. The guy had a good career, but he is just dragging the sport down staying around.

Some of the press reports make it seem like Trinidad or Pacquiao to end the year...and maybe Hatton next year.
None of those fights are very interesting to me.
I'd give DLH credit if he fought Margarito.
Cotto should take the rest of the year off and then find 1 or 2 lesser opponents next year before he takes on a top opponent.
The Mosley and Margarito fights were both grueling bouts for him.

Lesser than Alfonso Gomez?Cotto should go back to fighting men half his size. That is the only time he looks good.

Fuck Oscar...
Last night's fight is the kind of fight that boxing needs and wants. Half interested, money hungry, transexual, semi-retired promoters can stay the FUCK out of the ring.
No matter who he fights, I won't be paying a fucking penny to watch it.

Gomez is pretty low on the talent and ability scale.
I think he needs at least one of those BAD rehad assignments that HBO likes to give out to fighters who've just lost badly.

Collazo would be a safe comeback fight for Cotto.
