From next season I think we should start a predictions league for all premier league matches.

Basically something similar to the World Cup predictions contest where we highlight which team will win that week, or if you think it'll be a draw.

We list our predictions weekly and I can calculate scores after every week of games.

1 point for each correct match prediction + post your final league table prediction (1 point for each correct position correctly predicted).

I know fuck all about soccer, but I'm thinking about joining.

Mark me down for Liverpool winning 2 out of every 3 games and ManU and Man City losing 2 out of every 3.

Any guesses as to how far out of first place I'll finish with that strategy?

TBH, i just really don't have the interest in the english prem. It's shit and predictable without any good vs evil subtexts to give it social meaning.

I'll play though, just for you mate.

Why don't we start the tournament with a final table prediction worth 25% of our overall score or something? Could do it thusly - your prediction for each team is worth between 5 to zeo points depending on how many places away from their final position you put them (bang on = 5, one away = 4, five away =1, >5 away = zero). Then just adjust it at the end to have it fir the % we decide the table prediction should be worth.

A point for win lose or draw. As someone who has ran a prediction league before, the more complicated you make it, the more of a bitch it is to tally up each week. Trust me. Keep it simple. 1 point for correct result, 0 for the wrong result.

Agreed.

The final entries for match predictions should be the night before kick off and i'm thinking about doing a predictions table up to christmas and another predictions table from new year to the end of the season.

Sounds like a good format to me, mate.

Right, before I go ahead and calculate the scores/table, I had picked Newcastle to win. Check on this page for proof. I made my picks at 12.07pm, yesterday.

I will note down on here everyone's totals from last week and what each individual went for this weekend and note their new totals.

Details Calig!

Lime st used to be quite the red light area.

Just saying......

I was walking down Lime St. and I saw this scrubber standing outside a seedy hotel. I asked how much?

She said "40 quid in the bed, or 20 quid on the floor, love!"

I gave her 40 quid. She said "So the bed, then?"

I said "Fuck off! Two goes on the floor."

I'll update da table tonight like, safe.

Slice, feebs, the time has come to withdraw you both from this, as you aren't able to keep up with this on a weekly basis. I put this down to you both being afraid of what I bring to the table.

:Pointlaugh: Obviously...

I moved house a month or so ago and so missed about three weeks. Not much point in continuing now; better to simply withdraw.

* Rules state that if two or more persons are level on points, then the person who's first letter in his name is alphabetically before the other(s), then that person will be ahead in the table. Any questions regarding this ruling, let me know.

I dispute this rule.

The person with the total most number of weeks at #1 gets top billing.
