Nick Thompson - $6,000
Keith Wisniewski - $2,000
Thiago Alves - $4,000
Ansar Chalangov - $2,000
Sam Hogar - $10,000
Jeff Newton - $2,000
Jeremy Horn - $50,000
Trevor Prangley - $6,000
George St. Pierre - $35,000
Sean Sherk - $10,000
Matt Hughes - $110,000*
Joe Riggs - $12,000*
Gabriel Gonzaga - $6,000
Kevin Jordan - $3,000
Rich Franklin - $26,000
Nathan Quarry - $10,000
* Since Joe Riggs didn't make weight, he had to give up 10% of his paycheck. 5% went to NSAC and 5% went to Hughes, so Riggs actually made $10,800 and Hughes made $110,600.

I'm assuming the longer you fight for UFC the more you get payed because thats what it looks like to me.

I'm surprised Franklin got paid so little, and Horn so much in relative terms. The UFC is still paying out shit money, i'd be interested to see how much the overall turnover was.

matt hughes has been fighting forever and has been a UFC golden child and work horse and he gets payed penuts, shit like this is rediculous

No, that's all they can afford to pay. This ain't no billion dollar industry. Just some small time North American travelling circus with only 3-4 good fighters at the most.

Matt Hughes has to pay taxes on that, not to mention paying his trainers and training camp. How much does he take home?

there is a reason mat hughes acts like a dick, its becuase hes basically pissed off he HAS to fight so much....
its weird but it basically corrupted him and turned him into the ass he is
thats why he works the guys he traine don TUF2 so hard because he feels if they arnt gonna really earn it he dosent want them around
and they arnt technically taking advantage of them because of the fact its not a very big industry BUT they could be payed a bit more....every fighting can make close to 10g more then they are being payed....
and they should alteast make first event fighters earn 5g instead of the shitty 2 they are getting payed...

Dana's probably taking a small % of their earnings. Just in case somebody gets killed in the octagon. He'll be able to afford decent lawyers.

Nah, they have weight classes now. Its not like when Yarbarough fought Hackney, although the outcome would be similar.(me pounding hammerfists down on your fallen body, because you're too fat to move out of the way)

There will be a day when those salaries will get better but probobly nowhere too soon. Its a very tough business, especially when your getting paid peanuts like that. Most these guys work second jobs like bouncers etc...

My god, that isn't even worth fighting. That is nothing. I am shocked. I remember Mike told me it was low, but I had no idea it was that low. You got to me a nut to fight for that. Matt Hughes makes 100k for a fight. 100K is decent to me, but he has been around forever and a day. Damn. Unknown scrub boxers get more than that.

I'd REALLY like to know how much money these organizations are making. I'm sure insurance is outrageous, but other than that, how expensive can putting this shit on be? Esp with all of their sponsors.
IMO, If they went weekly or bi-monthly on free tv, they'd have a MUCCCCH larger fanbase.
