This fight is being talked about as the next potential fight for Cotto. Any early predictions/thoughts?
Easy fight for Cotto....Bradley get TKO'ed... Smart matchmaking by team cotto..i smell Freddie roach hands in this...in the past Cotto has gain some momentum and then fought someone like Trout or Clottey....sorta fight that gains you nothing....this one is an easy victory against a name opponent...and leave you in a nice place to rematch Mayweather or fight Ginger in early 2015
One way or another the alphabet(s) will collect sanctioning fees from it. Either they'll just give one of the fighters some belt or they'll will call it an eliminator for the #1 rank or some such shit.
Timmy the head really has no chance here. This is just an easy money fight for Miggy until he fights Ginger next spring.
Please explain how Timmy has any chance. He can't outbox Cotto, and obviously, he DAMN SURE can't stand and trade with Cotto. When will people realize that Timmy Bradley simply isn't very good?
I read this fight is off the table; Bradley wants a catch weight under 154 (why wouldn't he?), and cotto can't fight below 154 (why would he?) I hate when stupid fights like this get trumped up for no other reason than that it's convenient for the promoter/manager/network. All the guys at 147 for bradley and they're talking cotto?
I don't believe there is anything that would prevent this from being a 160 lb title fight if it is fought at a lower weight?
Bradley weighed in at 160 fight night against Prov. It will be a MW Championship fight if it happend.
Wtf does that have to do with anything? We've had day before weigh ins for quite a while now which everyone adheres to. Are you trying to suggest bradley is a middleweight? You know. Like ggg and martinez ?
So fight a blown up welterweight instead of fighting GGG. Can't see why anybody would want to see Cotto vs Bradley.
Bullshit fight especially for Bradley. What's the up-side? Even if he somehow managed to win he'd take a beating in the process. I guess if the paycheck is up to snuff it's his call but seems sacrificial. And for Cotto ' s part, seems to run against his usual m.o. to even entertain a fight like this.
Obviously, Bradley Would be CASHING OUT, by Taking this Fight...But When You Think about it, What BIGGER Money Option Does He Have, @ the Moment???... REED Hasn't Seen the #'s from Pac-Bradley II, but Cotto-Bradley is More INTRIGUING, For Certain...Bradley vs. Anybody Else (Knowing his Options are LIMITED Being a Top Rank Guy, NOT Affiliated w/Haymon/Golden Boy) is High Risk, LOW Reward, Comparatively Speaking... Cotto Beats the Brakes Off of Bradley, but Now that Tim's Officially LOST his "O", REED Wouldn't Blame him @ All for Taking a More BUSINESS Minded Approach to Boxing, When Selecting his Remaining Bouts, as an Elite Level Fighter... REED:kidcool:
Quillin is a scrub. Cotto would beat the Hell outta him. If Quillin went life and death with Gabe Rosado, then I struggle to see how he has much success with Cotto.
Quillin is a foot taller than cottto. Right hands would be raining down onto cottos grill like Protein from his saggy skinned man mistress
Quillin is stiff as Hell with sloppy technique. And he has "good" power in his right hand, but he's hardly Gerald McClellan. Cotto will outclass him despite the difference in height/size. It'd be a very good smaller fighter beating the crap outta a mediocre larger fighter.
:: Cottos only chance would be to go after him like he did Rodriguez. Quill en appears to have a shaky chin. On the other hand, though, Quillens uppercuts would presumably be there to welcome Cotto.
