http://vegasfighttour.com/ Anybody Ever Taken the Vegas Fight Tour???... REED's Gonna Be in Vegas Early Next Week and is Considering It... REED:dunno:
Please Believe, if REED See's the GREAT Charlie Z Anywhere, he's Taking a Selfie with Him... REEDray:
Ah, why not. Kill a day for 130 bucks and have somebody else chauffeur you around Vegas with like minded fans.
Mayweather's Gym, Johnny Tocco's Gym, Wanderlai Silva's Gym and Randy Couture's Gym... When you Factor in COST of Arranging a Ride to Each of Those Spots, You'll Probably Come Out CHEAPER...Also, Gyms are More Likely to Accommodate Large Tourist Type Groups (for Pics, Autographs, etc,), than Individuals Walking In Off the Street... REED:hammert:
That's How REED Looked @ It...Drink Some Beer, (Hopefully) Chill w/Boxing Fans, Maybe Run Across a Former Fighter or 3 and Buy Some OVERPRICED Boxing Paraphernalia.... REED:hammert:
Personally, If I were you, I'd do a one-day training at one or two of these gyms instead of doing this. Will probably be cheaper and will give you a better experience of what's going on in there.
seems like during a weekend where there is a boxing fight you'd potentially have a group of boxing fans. on a random weekend with no fights you might be the only 1
REED's Wife has a Business Conference...REED's just Tagging Along for the Fuck Of It... Arriving Sunday Evening, Leaving Tuesday Evening...In and Out... Probably Gonna Do the Boxing Tour (Which Mrs. REED has ZERO Interest In, and Will Be @ her Conference in the Middle of the Day Anyways) and Then Take her to a Michael Jackson Tribute Show... Aside from That, People Watchin', Drankin' and Gamblin'... REED:hammert:
Tell the wife you really like horses and after to talking to a few locals they recommended a place call the Mustang Ranch.
Ah, didn't know it was that far. You can rent Ferraris and Porsches in Vegas. That would cut down on the travel time.
Sooooo, REED Bought his Tour Ticket Today...He'll Go Late Tomorrow Morning and Let his Fightbeat Brethren Know How it Goes... May Even Go to Mike Tyson's "Undisputed Truth" Tonight, @ the MGM Grand... REED:elmo:
In 2007 JAWS did the "fightbeat tour." He drove around the country with his fiancee visiting fightbeat members in their hometowns. He met Nobleart, Steve Dave, Double L, dsimon, and me. Apologies if I left anyone off. He claimed a couple of guys here "ducked him" when he was out their way. I've done the same thing over the years over in the UK when I'm there. I've met Gutbestuckt, pig, Joemul, Jimmy, and Billy Hunger (aka Little Big Bill.)
Phenomenal... And REED Doesn't Use that Word Often... 1st of All, the Las Vegas Fight Shop is UNLIKE Anything REED's EVER Seen Before...Located in the Middle of a Shopping Mall, Selling NATHAN But Boxing, MMA and Pro Rasslin' Paraphernalia...T-Shirts, Posters, Action Figures, Replica Title Belts, Keychains, etc...Mike Tyson, Floyd, Canelo, Ali, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, The Rock, Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey, B.J. Penn, Randy Couture, Bruce Lee, You Name it...Their Likeness was EVERYfuckingWHERE... Only 2 Other Tourists were w/REED, Which he Looooooooooooved...Ironically, They were BOTH from Dallas...Stripper Pole in the Middle of the Tour Van and Fights Constantly Playing on the Big Screen T.V. on the Back Wall...B.Y.O.B. Tour Though, as they Only Provide Bottled Water... 1st Stop was Wanderlai Silva's Spot...REED Got to Climb in the Official Sized Octagon they Have and Took a Pic Next to a Cartoon Cardboard Cutout of Wanderlai Doing his Infamous Mean Face Pose, Rolling His Hands... Next Stop was Randy Couture's Gym...REED Had the PLEASURE of Meeting a Guy who Coaches Meisha Tate...Can't Recall His Name, but Here's a Pic of Him... VERY Nice, Funny, Cool Dude...REED Took Pics of Some Couture Posters, as Well as Pics of Couture's and Meisha Tate's Lockers... Next Stop was Johnny Tocco's Gym, on the More "Dated" Side of Vegas...Old School Boxing Gym if EVER There Was 1...Lots of IMPRESSIVELY Painted Murals and HISTORIC Photos in the Gym... Final Stop was Floyd's Gym and Though REED's Floyd Fandom has WANED, he'd Be LYING if he Said he WASN'T Thrilled to Be In There...Floyd's Gym was the 1 Spot REED and Other Tourists COULDN'T Freely Take Pics Though...But After Awhile, the Guide Got the OK and the Camera Phones Came Out... Roger and Jeff Mayweather were There...Jeff Left PRIOR to the Time It was Cool to Take Pics and as the Guide Put It "This ISN'T a Good Roger Day", So REED Took a Photo OF Uncle Roger, as Opposed to WITH Uncle Roger...Prior to Leaving, REED Saw Badou Jack, Then Saw Famed UFC Cut-man Jacob "Stitch" Duran...And of Course, REED had to Get a Pic Outside of Floyd's Gym, Under his Marquee... Pics Will Be Posted Tonight... AWESOME Experience for ANY Hardcore Boxing Fan...The Tour Guide Knows and Loooooooooooves Boxing, Which Made the Experience Even RICHER...All Told, It Cost REED Close to $140 for 2.5 Hours (Not Including Gift Shop Purchases), but REED Would and WILL Gladly Do the Vegas Fight Tour Again, Whenever he Returns, Which is INEVITABLE... REED:cheer:
