A prime Holyfield beats Wlad 9.9 times out 10 even on an off night. If we're talking about all of the various versions of the same guys throughout their careers then you can make up multiple scenarios of how it plays out.
Prime Holyfield lost four rounds against old Holmes, had a major struggle against old Dokes, couldn't budge Moorer who could also be described as fragile and was almost KOed against Cooper which seems to indicate that he wasn't invulnerable either. He had gutsy brawls with Bowe and a blowout of Dougls. If we consider styles, Holyfield was pretty easy to hit with the jab and the cross, the two punches Wlad knew well. He was quicker, but the difference in reach would make up for that. And Wlad was fragile but, whatever it is worth, he went 12 years without going down and Holy wasn't a one-punch killer. This is not as clear-cut as most would want it to be. Or at least I'd like to hear some actual reasoning
Holy wins because he he's relentless and punches in bunches. He would break wlad mentally and physically. Holy ko7
Holy simply had too much will to win. The jab and grab wouldn't work. Holy would bang his ribs in the clinch, headbutt him on his way in etc. He would throw everything at Wlad and when fighting Wlad one rule of thumb is If you want it....he doesn't want it.
I’d pick Holyfield but it would have to be the version who beat Tyson (or bowe). It can’t be the 205lb version that fought Douglas and foreman.
I agree with the consensus and think Holy wins this. Wouldn't be easy, but He has too much heart and will, and he'll make Wlad wilt eventually.
I'd pick the Holy from BOTH Lewis fights over Wald. There's an astronomical gap between the 99-00 Lewis and any version of Wald.
Holyfield probably wins this, but he'd have to go through hell. Thing is, we know Evander is willing to do so, Wlad, not so much and I expect him to fold in the later rounds. A wlad win wouldn't be that much of an upste though.
Holyfield would outlast Wlad. He'd lure him into a fire fight. Both guys get hurt. Only difference is that Holyfield is the one you put the money on to survive the rough moments, whereas Wlad will likely fold at some point.
Klitschko is one the worst heavyweights in the last 30 years. Only troll-faggots like Ufagtobe Kidding rate modern day boxers for some reason...probably to give it all that 'Modern Boxing's Not Dead Guys' line over & over. What a fuckin prick. Holyfield easy.
Senile old cunts such as Mostrada want to cling to 'everything was better when I was young' so that their limb impotence would be easier to accept as a part of th miserable existence
Yes but one can argue that Lewis lost to (McCall, Rahman) and struggled with (Mercer, Bruno, mavrovic) guys inferior to Wlad. You have to learn to stop relying on that asinine logic. I thought you would have grown out of that by now
Wlad has the tools to beat Holy. He's a lot bigger, rangier and has enough power to give Holy fits. But I'd pick Holy to win at least seven out of ten, firstly because Holy had those intangeables to be able to take on naturally bigger men and fight on equal terms/beat them, secondly because Holy was good enough to neutralise the advantages Wlad has, thirdly because I wouldn't trust Wlad to utilise his advantages well enough to win and fourthly because Holyfield was just that bit better than Wlad was.
