Assuming Mayweather is as good as his last performance ( against Berto), who would you pick?

If Spence fights and beats Thurman then he will be the consensus as well as linear champion. Mayweather will still be the people's champ ( the champ of the casual fans, if you will).

    Both undefeated.

This will be a welterweight version of Ali- Frazier 1. Big fight!

How would the fight go down?

Floyd at his best, I'd pick to win.

Now at 40 years of age I don't know if coming back with these younger, more active fighters would be good for him.

He'd beat both Floyd and McGregor on the same night

I think Spence might literally end McGregor's life.

If Floyd can tame a beast like Maidana I can't see him having any trouble with a more mediocre version in Spence.

You've gotta be trolling. I hope you are. I really hope you are.

You can't even compare the two.

Spence would beat that bum Maidana within an inch of his life.

You're underestimating him like Broner and Floyd did. You have approach a animal like that with the humility and determination of Devon Alexander.

Maidana is not on Spence's level.

    He's more like Mayorga redux.

If Spence and Brook were fighting in the same era as Maidana you'd just think of them as highlight KO victims on Maidanas resume. He'd David Kamau them.

Unless Floyd has spent his off time in a lab developing new strains of PED's, Spence would walk him over.

    No he's not.

Mayorga was a better fighter than Maidana.

Pre-Tito Mayorga was a very bad man indeed. Tito ruined him forever. Maidana is a better fighter than Post-Tito Mayorga. Post Tito Mayorga would have quit against Maidana...pre-tito Mayorga would have beat him down for a late stoppage.

Maidana was a steam engine that could mow any man down. His only weakness was he couldn't fight well going backwards. But it took a real Iron Man like Khan that could deal with his power or an offensive machine like Alexander to put the bat-faced bull on the back foot.

A lot of your brethren think Maidana was a p4p guy based on his fights with Floyd.

Spence Held his Own Sparring Floyd 4 YEARS Ago...Obviously, he BEATS Floyd Today...

Prime Floyd Would HAVE to Be a Yuuuuuge Favorite @ This Juncture, However...

Even a PRIME Floyd doesn't have an easy time with Spence. I think he'd win, but cmonnn.... people are acting like Floyd never struggled or dropped rounds.

Spence would be THE BEST welterweight Floyd ever faced.

It wouldn't be easy but it'll still be an 8-4 type win in Floyd's favour. It'll take about 4 rounds to figure out a strategy against his style and then it'll be all check left hooks till the final bell. Spence had way too much trouble with Brook's style and abilities to have won more than 4 rounds against prime Mayweather

If they were to fight today, it'll be a pick'em. I'd pick Spence, but if Floyd has anything left, style-wise he could win.

I could see a prime Floyd winning 8-4, that's fair.

Only saying, this ain't no Mayweather whitewash.

    Spence ain't Robert Guerrero.

I'm really not sure PBF beats Spence, even in his prime.

Even a PRIME '47 Floyd WOULDN'T Stand his Ground w/Spence...And the Check Left Hook Would Be Useless Against a Southpaw Using a High Guard...

Floyd Would Need to JAB, MOVE and Utilize the Lead RIGHT In Route to a Win...It Would Boil Down to How EFFECTIVELY Spence Cut the Ring Off, Basically...

It WOULDN'T Be an Impressive Win for Floyd, by Any Means...

mayweather jr wouldnt have fought this current state of spence, where he is at in his career at the moment. get real. the risk vs reward is way out of line compared to any fight mayweather jr took at welterweight or above.
