"Golden Boy" Mads Larsen won a eight round unanimous decision against journeyman Vasily Andriyanov after a 3 1/2 lay-off. :tease: :cheer: :cheer:
Nothing spectacular, Larsen looked to be in pretty good shape and threw a consistent jab against a very defensive-minded opponent, who went the distance for the 13th time in his 13th loss.

Is it that all Golden Boys would need German judges to win decisions?

Not every journeyman can last the distance in his losses, just look at Gatti. :slap:

Nah, I believe you are referring to jurgen brahmer, the so-called 'hundred year talent' (sadly not enough to get by mario veit however)...I like JB too however, he seems to be stagnating a bit though

No, he had injury and promotional problems. Took him a long time to get the issue settled in court. His only loss (besides a cut stoppage early in his career) was a controversial decision, to who else than Sven Ottke. He came back to Germany only four weeks later to beat the crap out of Danilo Häussler and win the European super-middleweight title.

Brähmer is the allegedly super-talented thug, you think of. He built his reputation as a major talent with some hotly contested amateur bouts with Felix Sturm and a first round KO of Ricky Hatton. He went to jail after chasing down a grandpa with a car, but without a driving license, and subsequently beating him up. Not exactly the greatest of ideas, when you are on probation.
