I've been watching MMA since before the first UFC, but the hype it's getting reminds me of the X-Games. Everyone kept saying that guys riding bicycles on ramps was the sport of the future, that it was outdrawing the superbowl in the 12-to-16 age group, but where is it now? I can easily see the UFC going that way.

THe UFC will eventually come back down to earth...to it's usual 200,000-300,000 ppv buys..NOT BAD NUMBERS..but not the crazy numbers they are doing now...500k, 700k, 1 mil...:nono:

Just want to see what happen when they get their JACK JOHNSON...see how the fans reaction. It either makes it grow and prosper or fall...

Top Black Heavyweight...and maybe a shit talker that beats up everyone around him with ease and then brags about it...times has chance so the impact won't be anywhere near as what Johnson was to sports back then....or maybe people won't even notice.

Black people always comprised a huge part of boxing's fan base, though. The only black people you'll see at a UFC event are the family and friends of the black fighters.

How will these UFC fans(most who are white, and are attrated to teh ufc because most of their fighters are white and american) react seeing a black fighter dominate the establish white fighters of the UFC....:dunno:..if they go with it then UFC will grow...but if they tune off..then it's a wrap..

I don't know about that, I don't see a Jack Johnson/Mike Tyson type fighter just coming along and blowing everybody away in the UFC. What I'm interested in is how UFC's newer fans will react as the UFC becomes more international with more brazilians, russians, and other non-americans start to take over the scene while the american fighters being to die out. Afterall, alot of the UFC's new fanbase came along after the explosion of The Ultimate Fighter reality show on Spike and they became attached to American fighters like Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell, Chris Leben, Matt Hughes, Rich Franklin, Tim Sylvia, etc. These guys are soon going to all be on the backburner or dying out as the newer fighters make their way in like Gonzaga, Noguira, Shogun, possibly the Emelianenko brothers, CroCop, and who knows what else. Mostly non-americans, non-english speaking fighters from outside of the U.S.
The UFC is definitely becoming an international fight league whereas before it was mainly consisting of americans. The fans haven't accepted brazilian Anderson Silva yet, but there's more where that came from.

same thing just different...not black but other ethnic group...Golf popularity went through the roof with Tiger...but i think the UFC fan base is mostly base on fanboys....groupies..

If some race is going to dominate the sports it's not going to be blacks, or whites, it's gonna be either brazilian, or russians. Or maybe a supersized, steroided indian, named "Hanzy"

Well, you were mistaken. Russians and Puerto Ricans don't count as white people.

It's on your TV every year like it's always been. In fact it's on your TV twice a year. Summer X-Games and Winter X-Games. It was always an annual thing and it still is. Where did it go? No place.

???This doesn't make any sense all those groups of people have fought in the UFC since it started in 93. What do you mean how will the fans react?? They will still be doing the same shit they are doing now and thats watching the UFC.
You seem to think most of the fans of the UFC are racist or something they don't give a rats ass about what color you are or what nation you come from as long as you get in the cage and fight.

I'm talking about the sudden surge of TUF reality show noobs who helped the UFC explode. Those TUF noobs were latched onto fighters like Ortiz, Liddell, Hughes, Franklin, Couture and a bunch of fighters on the tv show. All american and english-speaking fighters. Now the landscape is changing as foreign fighters from Pride are moving in. Who knows how things will look a year from now.
Liddell was the face of the UFC and he just got rocked like a joke.

Well anybody who watched their first fight should have known Rampage was going to win again. What does it matter if they are fans of those guys? All of them are good fighters and thats why people are fans of theirs NOT because they are americans or speak english that has nothing to do with it IMO.
