I heard quinton did 450,000 because he beat lidell, who may have won $500,000 more if he had defeated rampage.
Absolutely awfull. The UFC rips fighters off worse than any boxing promoter could. When Jason Miller went and fought outside of the UFC he was making more than about all of these other mid carders who are still in the UFC. That's like Minor League Baseball paying more than Major League Baseball. ::
:: :: Lidell could make 5 times that amount challenging Tarver and fighting him in a boxing match on HBO. :: ::
Club fighter don't make much in boxing or MMA. When you're not an established name, it's just hard to make money. With that said, I would never get into the Octagon for 3,000 dollars. Oh and poor Sean Salmon, kicked in the head by Rashad and then Choked out in less than a minute. haha.
Eh? 5 times that amount fighting Tarver on HBO? So you're saying Liddell could make up to $2.5 million fighting Tarver? Even Tarver can't make that much, ike.:: If Liddell had won, he'd have been paid another 500K as a win bonus, giving him a total of $1 million. Add to that, even at 500K which is what he made he will get a cut of PPV revenue and gate so he'll still make in the $2-3 million range.
Salmon was kicked in the head and laid out cold. Evans didn't choke him out. Dude was laying there for about 3-4 minutes.
So now UFC fighters are fairly compensated, make up your fucking mind. 500,00- k as a base for one fo the biggest fighters in the UFC is a criminal act.
Well the discussion is basically concerning the lower-tier fighters. They're the ones criminally underpaid. But you're right overall. With as much money as the UFC is bringing in, all fighters should be paid more. I'm just trying to figure out how much bonus money these guys are getting since the UFC brags that it's a sh*tload.
I don't give a fuck that either Rampage or Liddell gets screwed, they still make about half a million and it's more than enough $$ for any human being to make in a year ( and they'll make more ). But what is really pathetic is the paycheck guy's like Jardine takes home, and they have to cut some of it for their trainers, really pathetic while some scum takes all the $$$$, and they have the nerves to call Don King a crook.
what a joke...i guess this fella saying that liddell and jackson were fairly compensated (or that he doesn't care how they were sheisted) thinks it is ok for white to make 50 times as much as ALL of the guys risking their health combined. this monopoly is a joke and it won't last long like this. liddell was talking a lot of shit to mayweather. now he has an embarrassing knockout loss (for which he received at most one tenth of the pay floyd got in his last bout) to live with. great stuff
