    Who's your top ten?

    1. Wlad
    2. Chagaev
    3. Maskaev
    4. Peters
    5. Valuev
    6. Povetkin
    7. Brester
    8. Byrd
    9. Toney
    10. Ibragimov

If Vitaly is truly unretired he goes in behind Wlad and the others step down a peg, but seriously, anyone after that is practically interchangeable. Povetkin will be near the top in a year or two. Hopefully Wlad has unified by then and a huge showdown between the two can get made:cheer:

Like most division there are only really a TOP 5. Heavyweight, there is really no one not even Wlad. I am sure he is the best but he could lose to anyone at anytime.
    So Wlad

    2-5: Peter

    No one.

This would have been a good thread about 6 or 7 years ago. No dis to you, but these days, who even cares. Hell HW was already one of my least favorite divisions, now adays I don't even follow it hardly. I wish Vitali would hurry and come back so we can at least have a dominate guy to remain on the throne.

If Vitali gets his championship back, he ain't giving that shit up until he retires.

1.Wlad Klitschko. Best without a doubt

    2.Chagaev..undefeated beat Ruiz and Valuev

3.Oleg Maskaev. On a very good win streak and blasted rahman who people were saying ran vitaly out boxing

4.Nicolay Valuev. Good wins and competive loss to Chagaev

5.John Ruiz. hate him personally but close loss to chagaev and questionable loss to valuev

6.Sultan. an unimpressive win over the worst champion over shannon briggs good win over goofey and a lackluster draw with bum austin

7.Brewster. lost a competitve fight against sergei who turned out to suck

8.Chris Byrd - Got destroyed by wlad and has been on the decline for a while now. but still former champ deserves some respect..

9.Sam Peter - beat an old fat shot toney but then again at least one judge said so did some recent bum ..plus most felt he lost the first fight to shot old fat toney. got schooled by wlad. only big win is over jeremy williams who sucks balls

10.Evander Holyfield - on a good little run most notably beating fres oquendo

Holyfield DID beat Rahman plus he beat Oquendo recently? When was the last time Rahman beat an Oquendo caliber fighter? Barrett is a bum and so is Maheen. In short rahman sucks...

Toney? Toney just arguablly lost to a BUM..plus he got outboxed by fat samuel peter of all people..toney is done with...

Sergei or Brock deserve that spot more than those two...

OK, Sergei just lost to the biggest bum of all.

Brock I can see. Just get Oldyfield out of there. He is shot.

Wow, I usually co-sign or generally agree with your rankings, but that dude # 4? Where did you have Briggs going into last night? and where was sultan, for that matter?

I thought Briggs was somewhere in the bottom half of top 10 ONLY because of his win over Sergei. I can see Ibragimov barely cracking 10, but #4? Wow.

Povetkin has all the potential in the world but to have him at 6? he doesn't even belong in the top 10 yet never mind at 6...thats a joke.

The best way to rank is to put fighters in the order of how good they are.

Which is why Povetkin at 6 makes a lot more sense than your (and his) Maskaev at 3, imo.

But how do you know how good they really are if they haven't proven it yet against the very best? Oleg at least proved he belongs by KO'ing Rahman...If they meet tomorrow sure Povetkin probablly would take him out but as we stand right now Oleg accomplished far more than Povetkin..

Merit rankings are what they are. I just think it makes a lot more sense to rank fighters based on how good you think they are, i.e. who you would bet on.

Accomplishment tends to be one of the more important factors, but making it trump "reality" doesn't add up. A computer can rank based on accomplishment, yee haw. I prefer people to use their boxing knowledge and insight to come up with something more.
