that would have to be my pick as well.....going back and watching UFC 1, those guys had absolutely no idea what to do with Royce, but now it seems everyone know a little bit of Gracie JuiJitsu

Default Who is the most influential person in MMA history?

    Emelianenko Fedor  J/K
Anyway, it has to be Gracie for me. When MMA came to the market, we saw bar club guys claiming to be streetfighting gods, taekwon do fighters, kung fu masters, the whole deal. Heck we even had some poor boxers coming in to try out the circuit like that moron who fought while wearing a boxing glove. :D But Gracie showed us the importance of submission and ground fighting and that's when I realized the effectiveness of his art. He was influential to me.

bare knuckle was optional I think at the time. But this Jimmerson guy had a boxing glove on his right hand against Royce Gracie. It was funny as hell.
