Dunno. If Tito is in good shape, it will be a tuff fight for Rashad. Tito has just soo much experience.

If Tito can't get the takedown, fight over.

Yep.Rashad is going to be tough to take down because of his wrestling background,on paper Rashad is the more well rounded fighter and I expect an upset.

Maybe the first guy to take his opp. down wins the fight. The only thing that i think rashad is good compared to tito is his take down.

Rashad has a good standup game,he can win the fight on his feet if he has too.Tito on the other hand is one diminsional and doesn't have that option.

I read that rashad improved his stand up [never saw his last 2 fights besides the clips of his kick] but from prev. fights his stand up is decent , but he doesnt have power or never commits to his punches.

I think Tito is on his way down in his career now. He's only looked good against Ken Shamrock in the past 2 years. Against Griffin and Liddell, he's been performing like an amateur at best. I don't see him going anywhere at 205, at least not now with Rampage, Henderson, and Shogun coming into 205.

Ortiz makes quick and nasty work of Rashad.

Rashad doesn't have the experience to jump in against a guy like Ortiz..

Tito doesn't have any power nor commits to his punches either, heck he doesn't have much of a chin IMO. I think if Rashad is as good as he claims to be, he should wipe the floor with Ortiz.

Evans can beat Tito, whether he will or not, is a different story.

I think Tito has a lot more talent then Rashad, but I just don't think he's hungry anymore. He knows he's on the downside of his career, he knows he can't hang with the upper echelon at 205 anymore, he's got a lot of outside interests that he's concentrating on.

Also, keeping Zombie Hunters from shooting his girlfriend's head off is cutting into his training time.

I think Rashad will win by decision.

I never thought Tito was that good to begin with. It was already proven that he was never an A class fighter when he was exposed badly by the likes of Couture and Liddell. On top of that, he was having the fight of his life against Forrest Griffin of all people. Most of his more recent hype comes from beating grandfather Shamrock, a guy who hasn't had a legit win since Dan Severn in superfight II in 1995.

Well I think Tito showed his metal in losing to Frank Shamrock. I think Tito's problem has always been his ego. At one time he was one of the most dominant Lt. heavy champions in the sport and has a pretty credible win over Wanderlei Silva.

That being said, I think his overconfidence and ego cost him dearly in his fights with Couture and Liddell.

Tito is a second generation MMA fighter (great at one thing and just knowledgable enough at everything else to last long enough to accomplish that one great attribute) then you have your third generation MMA fighters (A fighter thats great at everything and can handle any situation that there in like Fedor for example)

I think Tito is behind in the times like Matt Hughes and there way of fighting isn't going to help them when matched against a well rounded fighter or a fighter that has THAT style to beat there one diminsional fighting style.

I like Rashad here. He just plain better at everything. Tito sucks standing, and Rashad is a far better and more accomplished wrestler. Tito is not going to be in control on the ground I know that. He isn't going to overpower Rashad and he isn't going to outstrike him. I don't see how Tito wins this fight.

Initially I thought Tito may be able to hold Rashad down long enough to squeek one out, but now I'm thinking Rashad may just knock tito the fuck out:dunno:

How can it be an upset if he is favoured to win?

I just watched the preview, some grudge match this is, all they kept saying was how great of a fighter the other guy is.

I'll go with Rashad as well. With all of the talk about Tito being a cardio machine he definitely hasn't looked like one recently. By the second round in both his fight against Griffin and the second fight against Liddell his shots were so slow you could see them from a mile away. They didn't have any explosiveness to them. If he can't take Rashad down he won't win.

Did you even read my response before you posted in this thread? Rashad is the favorite in this fight.

Yeah, I know. Which is why I wrote "fight" instead of "fights", meaning both his fight against Griffin and his 2nd fight with Liddell.
