both Sherk and Franca should have made more than $14,000, wtf? :dunno:  :kick:

Every champion they have should be making like $140,000 , not $14,000.

To me the biggest travesty is Heath Herring making $70 G's.

 Sean Sherk made a flat guarantee of $14,000????? No wonder he was calling out Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Seriously, I'm shocked at how guys like Sherk can stay motivated and train so hard, knowing that they're getting such sh*t pay. The f*cking champion of the UFC just made $28,000. Oh.........God!!!!
Hell even our buddy Tha Pitbull was making more money than that winning martial arts tournys and he got bored with it cause those $50K paycheques were bullsh*t money and not worth his time.
I gotta have mad respect for guys like Sherk who can stay motivated to train while being paid like a cheap-sh*t street whore.

I have been enjoying MMA recently, but I may boycott it just for this.

Sean Sherk the LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION, makes 14 fucking grand? That's a complete fucking joke, and it's sick that dana and the other cunts at UFC are happy to pay the fighters such pathetic money.

I love how attached Sherk is to his crappy belt. "Oh you're gonna have to kill me to take my belt!!!!"
The worth of that belt is $14,000 max by the looks of it.

Considering the way he fought, his performance was probably only worth $16,000. Ortiz deserved the same instead of the 210K he made.

Oh sorry Pit! I thought there was a running joke on here a couple years back about somebody who retired from competing at age 15 cause they got tired of winning. Might've been somebody else.

    UFC 73 Attendance

Stacked attendance? Not so much. The numbers don't lie:

    Capacity - 16,811
    Deadwood - 3,628
    Exempt Passes - 4,561
    Sold - 8,622
    Total Attendance - 13,183

    Gross Receipts - $1,551,920.00

When a UFC event scores less than $2 million in live gate receipts, the show was anything but stacked. Zach Arnold has more:

Look at the figures - 8,622 paid. They did a little under 8,000 in Ireland. This may sound like piling on here, but I've been saying far and wide in media outlets that once UFC gets out of the casino zones, they struggle to cultivate big crowds without the casino power and Vegas-style advantages. It puts that tremendous Columbus crowd into perspective (meaning it reflects well on the Ohio folks). What does it indicate? As boxing promoter Bob Arum put it in a recent Yahoo Sports article, once you leave Las Vegas you have to start using some elbow grease to attract larger crowds.
Word to Zuffa: get to scrubbing.
