Much as I hated Naz, I hate Rocky Juarez even more, which is why I made this MM. I dont know how many rounds it would go(not too many), but I do know at the end Jaurez would be in need of a stretcher.
why do you hate Juarez? you know, he could easily knock Hamed out. he hits hard as fuck. and he's much better schooled than Hamed. and he covers up well. stylistically, juarez would match up well with Hamed. and his weakness of tending to be inactive would go unpunished against the shell-shocked and pot-shotting Hamed.
when did Hamed ever fight a guy who wasn't a former bantamweight and over the hill? are you saying Hamed had a good chin? are you saying he ever fought anyone who could punch as hard as juarez?
who has Juarez KOed? does Juarez have any noteworthy wins so far into his career? hamed did have a good chin. he's been down numerous times but mostly because he was off balanced. i've never seen him in serious trouble even when he was down. Hamed beat Johnson, Robinson, Kelley, Ingle, Soto and Medina who were all former/current/future champions at 126. With an exception of Soto, he knocked all of them the fuck out. I'd take Kelley, Medina, Johnson, and Soto over Juarez. Not so sure about Ingle, but i wouldn't be sure to pick Juarez against him either. Even smaller guys like Vasquez and Bungu were long time champs and much more accomplished than Juarez.
none of those guys bring to the table what Juarez does. just compare Juarez's performance against Barrera with Hamed's. neither Kelley, Medina, Johnson or Soto are sharp-shooters like Juarez, with responsible defense. one of the reasons Juarez can be inactive is that he doesn't like to get hit. as offensive as he can be, he's very defensive as far as blocking punches, and not opening himself up to be hit. and of course, he has good timing, which is key to getting to Hamed. obviously, i can't say one way or the other with certainty how he'd do against Hamed. but the idea that Hamed would somehow destroy or easily beat Juarez? and that Juarez would be out of his league against Hamed? and have no chance of winning? ridiculous. the only way you could see this matchup that way is to over-rate Hamed, under-rate Juarez, or both. the fact that Hamed beat Johnson, Kelley, Medina and Ingle is hardly proof that he'd be successful against Juarez. in fact, i think it's tough to make a case based on such opposition. and as far as Juarez's competition, he actually has a better resume imo than Hamed. he's faced some pretty good fighters. Barrera, Soto, Raheem, Espadas, Morales, Velazquez, Hernandez....
Hamed destroys one dimensional guys w/ average speed. juarez gets pummeled and possibly stopped if his chin doesnt hold up. Juarez just isnt very good imo. Barrera's a shell of himself and he still managed to beat juarez both times (although he might have lost the first one). Juarez's career as a contender will soon be over once Marquez shuts him out.
I wouldn't go that far. juarez is a nice guy, but hamed would beat him either with his athleticism or his power. that's one of the more amusing things I've heard, that juarez has a better resumé than hamed. juarez lost twice to barrera (old ass barrera), soto, and looked terrible vs a starved raheem. not much of a resumé compared to hamed.
Yeah I wouldnt go that far either. Augie Sanchez had faster hands than Juarez thats about it. Juarez hits at least as hard, and is way more durable. Having said that, the Prince would have lit him up and knocked him out within 8. No slow, come forward featherweight in history can beat Hamed.
The Prince wasn't even able to KO fighters who were a lot worse than Juarez.:: Where does all this new-found hype for the Prince come from? It's like f*ckin' worse than Ike Ibeabuchi's hype. A fighter is gone from the ring for a few years and suddenly he's this killing machine who woulda wasted all the boxers of today. Prince looked like dog shit in many of his fights. He's not worthy of the hype he's getting on here.
@ featherweight when barrera was younger n close to his prime. and when hamed was certainly toward the end of his better days. the guy regressed, let's face it. rocky juarez wasn't much at featherweight. he'd been struggling to make for quite a while. let's not forget he was at 125 since he was in his mid teens. juarez got beat just as decisively in the rematch to barrera (5 years later) despite being the bigger, younger guy. juarez's best win is against who? hector velasquez?
Juarez was Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Toooooooooooooo RESERVED and GUNSHY to Ever Beat the Prince... REED:hammert:
what the fuck are you talking about? care about them politically? what exactly do you mean? specifically? ::
Small guys with shortish arms and no real movement or activity aren't going to beat Hamed. Hamed, like Hatton, is one of these British fighters who was perhaps not as good as advertised, but who post-retirement has been unreasonably downgraded.
