    Most of the MMA Terminology is Still FOREIGN to REED...

    A Few of Ya'll Informed REED that "Striking" is Basically PUNCHING,Correct???...

    What is "Sprawl" ???...

    There's Some Other Lingo that REED Heard During UFC 75,but he Can't Think of it Right Now...Is there an MMA Dictionary,or Something???:dunno:

    Sprawl is when somone attempts to take to down by grabbing your legs , you then lean forward (your uper body on their back) and push your legs backward and spread them.
    This prevents them from taking you down to the ground because they can't get a grab around them.
    If you are a standup fighter , it is a MUST that you are a good sprawler.

    Yeah great explanation CYC, also as far as striking goes in MMA it usually applies to both punching and kicking.
