MMA isn't on the rise, but the UFC is. Cuban is wasting his time. There is no brand recognition in the world regarding MMA. The UFC is pretty much all the fans know or care about.
That could change if a guy with enough cash put his money and efforts into another organization. Years ago WWF was really the only game in town when it came to pro-wrestling. When Ted Turner bought the NWA (changed to WCW) it became a major force. Could happen with MMA too.
