His standup his rubbish when fighting a competent standup fighter,he either looks bad winning or gets beat.I've preached this for years and recent events have proved me right............and I would like to thank Jardine for exposing Chuck for what he is A jack of all trades but a master at none.

Bullshit, Chuck has beaten good stand up fighters in the past. A 37 year old losses twice in a row after having several excellent wins in his career and all of a sudden he was exposed? What a bunch of ignorance. You must have just started watching MMA or something.

He's an excellent MMA striker. Randy is a competent striker, Guy Mezger was an EXCELLENT striker, Overeem is a great striker, Vernon White was even a damn good striker in his hey day.

Neither of them could take Chucks punch but Rampage and Jardine did.

Well Chuck might not be the same fighter he was then. But you said you've been preaching Chuck has had bad striking for years, that is not the case at all.

Since when is knocking a guy out looking bad in winning? You can't win any more conclusively. Threads like these make you look ignorant. Lidell has beaten plenty of strikers in his career. He is 37 years old and losses a couple and all of a sudden he was "exposed". You must have just started following MMA.

Great or not, Chuck is a front runner pure and simple.

As I have said many times I call shit as I see it. Sure I like Lidell but I don't get to attached to ANY MMA fighter. You keep talking shit about Lidell not being good against strikers. Well, he's beaten plenty of them and by KO. When a guy starts losing at 37 that is NOT being exposed. let's see how well Quinton is doing when he is 37. When you are showing ignorance then I can;t help but to call you ignorant.

Is he? I have seen him come back and win fights while losing. Hmmmm. His striking tecnique has never been the greatest but he always has given it his best even while losing, which he has come back to win before. that's not a front runner.

So Randy Couture has no chin or decent stand up? He outstruck Gonzaga and schooled Sylvia when they stood as well. Couture lacks power but that hasn;t stopped him from schooling other big punchers.

I guess i have to see more of Chuck's fights. Maybe you're right, but from everything i've seen of him he can't adjust. Either he can land the big right hand or he's finished.

Hmmm well that is true. I just say he's not a front runner because there's been fights that he is losing and he turns them around with 1 punch. The Overeem fight is a good example of that.

Funny that a 37 year old with a pretty good career is getting shit on. IMO, Shogun is the guy who should be getting shit on. He's 25, in the prime of his career, is supposed to be some sort of killer yet he losses to FORREST GRIFFEN!!

I thought you don't make excuses Valdosta? now that I think of it this the first time I've heard you use a fighters age (boxing or MMA) as an excuse for them losing, you've been out of character tonight buddy:nono:

Chucks done as a fighter. He's old and couldn't pull the trigger. Chuck losing to Jackson is 1 thing, losing to Jardine is another. You can call it whatever you want but it happens to every fighter someday. What I said about Shogun having a shitty camp I said before the fight. It wasn't as much of an excuse as a fact.

Just saw the fight (thanks for the link)

I'm a boxing fan first so their stand up technique looked like garbage to me, but I gotta admit - they are some tough mofos.

They were taking flush punches with 4 oz gloves and kept coming forward. Chuck also took some kicks to the side that I can assume hurt heluva lot more than a body punch with 10oz gloves. I can't stand Liddel cause his punching technique is atrocious, but DAMN hes about as tough as you can get. I remember feeling bad for the guy when Rampage was pounding him to the body in the first fight, yet he never tapped. :bears:

Val did send me that PM before the fight, expressing doubts about Rua and his camp.

The same way Jackson was exposed by Linland and Rua in gift decisions? The same way he was exposed when he was subbed by Sakuraba, demolished by Shogun and knocked the fuck out by Silva (twice)? At least Lidell's wins over Belfort and Metzger were legit.

LMAO!! Sylvia is very hated but you aren't around the top of the division unless you are good. Gonzaga is very good as well. Couture is a very good boxer and has a solid chin. I mean seriously, who is good to you in MMA besides Quinton Jackson? Almost every fighter has losses that can be picked on (except Fedor).
