Ace did better against the clinch and that's the only reason he made it to the second rd but the flurry by Anderson Silva in the end was just brilliant,he was throwing one twos ,knees, low kicks all in fluid motion,he is the best standup fighter in MMA IMO for those that didn't see it watch the fight

that was sick, he was hitting him with knees like it was going out of style.

They're both good guys though, I felt bad for Franklin. He's a good fighter, but Silva is all wrong for him.

Silva's all wrong of everybody.I think he's the only fighter that can make a case of challenging Fedor for p4p best fighter in MMA.

who do you think he will fight now? Maybe Dan Henderson?

And did the crowd boo Franklin at the end, i couldn't hear?

Once the fight was over the crowd was silent because I think they was heading to the exits. As for Silva,he's officially cleaned out the UFC's middleweight division and Henderson said he cant' make 185 anymore but I think he would lose to Silva anyway IMO

I also want to add that there's waaaaaaay better talent at 185 than what the UFC has in there stable but they refused to sign any of them.I think they droped the ball on that.

Silva's a badass but they don't have anyone with the right style to beat him right now. He is beatable by a good LNP and GNP guy, or a guy who has better jui jitsu than him. A guy like Damien Maia but to early to tell with him. On the ground though he would have an advantage over Silva or anyone else at 185.

Franklin had no business being in the cage with Silva a second time. It was all just a way for the UFC to make more money as is always the case.

Rich was lucky he made it to the second round. Anderson dropped him hard with a right hook to the jaw and Rich was near done but was saved by the bell to end the round.

Fight should have been stopped at the end of round 1 but they were trying to give Franklin a chance to win.

I've got to give Franklin a lot of credit for stepping back into the ring with Silva. I think he knew deep down that he couldn't beat Silva but had the balls to fight him again anyway. Check out the fight around the 1:30 mark in the first round. Franklin looked up at the clock and you could tell by the look in his eyes that he knew it was only a matter of time...

I think he was pushed into taking the fight again. Not only by the fans but by the UFC brass. What's he gonna do? Refuse? That's not good business. They'll throw him to the curb if they don't make a return on their investment. This rematch was hyped for the past year.

You're probably right, Hanzy. But he gets credit for not laying down and giving it his best even though he knew what was coming.

The announcers were all over Franklins nuts but he couldn't do shit. Silva looked like he wasn't even trying.

BTW the UFC should stop promoting that bum Sylvia. Hes boring and he flat out sucks shit.

I can't stand Sylvia, he is such a stinker.

As for Silva/Franklin, was there any doubt as what the result would be? I think even Franklin knew he was getting KO'd.

Sillva is such a relazed and as Randy Couture said, "Graceful" fighter. Not only was he throwing knees, but he was firing knees to the body as well. You could clearly see Franklin wincing from those.

Silva just has Franklin's number. After watching the 2nd fight, you get the feeling that Silva would beat Franklin 10 times out of 10.

It's too bad too, since Franklin could easily handle the rest of the division. He just can't beat the Spider.

    So who's next for Silva?

And who do you think Lesnar fights in his UFC debut?

By the way, I had to miss the fights last night to go to perhaps the most boring wedding I've ever been to. Thank God for dailymotion, I was able to catch the tow main fights there.

It looked like a pretty lousy card on paper, so I'm glad I didn't pay for it.

UFC 78 should be a much, much better show. In spite of not having a legit PPV main event, that card has some great fights on it.

If he didn't improve on his tai clinch defense the fight would of ended much MUCH sooner.

His fight with Nate Marquardt convinced me he's been working hard on his ground game and seems to get better at it with each fight so if there going to find someone to give him problems they better hurry up.

Silva's ground game wasn't looking so hot against Lutter. Anyone can lose if matched right but the truth is the UFC MW division is weak as hell. In fact i would give St Pierre a better chance of beating Silva than anyone who is currently at 185. Well if he fought a smart fight anyways. He gets killed if he strikes with Silva but he has pretty good lay and pray. Silva would have big issues with guys like Linland and henderson to but I guess the UFC would rather have a shitty MW division. not sure why, not like they have to protect Franklin anymore.

He beat him with a triangle choke after Lutter had him mounted and was raining down punches. Silva's vulnerability is the ground game. UFC don;t have much of anyone to exploit it at 185 ....yet.
