According to some new reports coming out in the mma sites, Anderson Silva threw some disrespect to the UFC fans in Cincinnati last night as they booed him after he obliterated the hometown boy Rich Franklin a second straight time. It was stated that Silva was insulting the crowd in portuguese when he spoke through the mic after the fight. According to some portugese fans, Anderson Silva's words were translated as: "Nunca serao, Jamais serao." It's from the film "TROPA DE ELITE" where a captain tells his students "Nunca serao, Jamais serao", meaning "You will never be an elite squad, never will." In english, he may have been insinuating that Rich Franklin or Cincinnati itself is a "never will be" city or something of the sort. Or possibly that Rich will "never be elite." :dunno:
Well, Instead of BOO'ing, Someone from Cincy Should've Gotten in the Octagon & tried to PROVE Silva Wrong... REED::
Shit, spell it right. POLL. I was actually trying to figure out what Franklin was doing on a POLE for a minute. Trying to escape was the only conclusion I had. BTW, Franklin is an AWFUL fighter. An awkward no-speed Southpaw. Just awful. Standard Fare for the UFC I suppose.
I partly agree, Franklin is not awful but he is very very very limited, and as you said, he is fucking slow, is punches are wide and very easy to see coming
