My last one for the day... shit, at this rate my last one for the year. At 154 and 160, though 154 might be a bit more predictable result...
Jackson is a pretty live dog against anybody with a less than stellar chin but Hearns is just a better fighter. The Hitman takes him out 9 times out of 10.
I initially thought this was a volatile one, but after watching some footage I'd be pretty confident of a Hearns KO. His length & distancing works nicely against Jackson's peak-a-boo & lunge, IMO and I'd be 90% certain he'd get in first. If Im betting I put the main part of my money on Hearns by KO straddled/kicked with the under-8 rounds so I break even on a Jackson KO. The fight ain't going beyond 8, I'll leave all outcomes other than the first 8 naked. (Sorry if it's annoying, but I'm gonna imagine betting on all MMs from now on it makes a full gauging of the outcomes concise)
I agree. On the one hand you think well if Barkley could beat Hearns, surely mega puncher Jackson could clock Hearns proper at some point and finish him. On the other hand, despite Barkley, I can't really imagine Jackson beating Hearns. Hearns is just too fast, too rangey, too accurate, and too good. I think Hearns would pretty much dominate him and KO him in 2 or 3 rounds. Of course Jackson has some chance as always with a big punch versus crap chin.
Hearns is better in pretty much every way. Jackson could score a Barkley type KO, I suppose, but otherwise Hearns dominates him.
Hearns probably takes JJ out within 3 at either weight, but as everyone stated, Jackson has at least a small chance at the obligatory fight-changing shot
