Looper Bruce Willis, Joseph Gorden-Levitt....looks interesting: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/2iQuhsmtfHw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Well, if you could see the fucking embedded clip...it might look interesting. The AA button - now not working on embedded frames again.
They are all new movies....why arent they still listed on Page 1 of this particular Forum?? I can't be bothered to search.
Well I can't speak for everyone on here but I really wish you'd take the few seconds it takes to do a simple search before you post a new thread. It gets so annoying when there are two that were basically done a few days apart. And since AntAKnee doesn't seem to have mod status anymore he won't be doing a great job of cleaning up the site anymore by merging them like he used to. He also would have changed the damn top button to a go button the minute i suggested it.
Just got back from seeing this movie. VERY GOOD. Bruce Willis was on point in this movie. The little kid in the movie was very good as well. All around great movie. Very original. Finally, Hollywood got it right.
Yeah I agree with you dude, I hate when people refuse to do a search before posting a new film thread. People like Dark Magus and BOSS!
Delete this thread mods. My thread about looper is a lot cooler and it's spelled in all capital letters thus clearly more important and awesome.
LOL. You do make good points, especially about the all caps part. Maybe the mods could at least merge them, but the mods never do stuff like this. They have to call a specialist for stuff like that.
caught this on imax yesterday here in the people's republic (where i heard it made more money in its opening weekend than in the states): loved it. good, slick stuff. the high-concept sci-fi dystopia stuff was all done with sophistication - didn't waste too much time on exposition or geek out - and it had a real heart too. plus, just a slick, well-put together thriller. you don't win oscars for character-acting, but levitt's bruce willis act was fucking brilliant. dano, jeff daniels, the little kid, and bruce willis the guy who gets most of the chance to show real emotion - all class performances.
Watched this last night. Brilliant cast, great pace to the movie, interesting story line over all an excellent movie.
Just saw this last night, really fucking cool movie. The little kid is rad, best part in movie is the kid giving the quizical 'should we cap this mutherfucker?' gesture while on the stairs. Only weak part is when Bruce Willis starts trying to explain time travel to JGL, everyone knows that you just dont fucking try to explain time travel in movies, it never fucking makes sense so leave it the fuck out and dont remind us how full of shit the whole concept is.
I liked it because it was one of those movies you can watch and relate to the characters. It reminded me a lot of how I had to kill myself from the future back in 1993..
I thought the trying to explain it was funny. He said some shit like you really want me to go into details? Almost like an inside joke between the writers and the audience.
I'm going to get this movie on demand this week. Really looking forward to it. JGL is a quality actor imo. Also Rian Johnson wrote/directed this movie, same writer/director as Brick, which IMO was an excellent movie. I remember someone at this forum really hated Brick, but I thought it was top notch.
It starts in theaters here in Japan this weekend and I'm going to check it out. I could have downloaded it and watched it, but I wanted to get the movie experience for this one. Well that and I really love the popcorn at the theaters over here.
Watched it last night. Very good film. I love time travel films with all its possibilities. There are certain scenes where Joseph Gordon-Levitt CGI make-up looked incredibly fake. Still he didn't look like a young Willis, but that wasn't a big deal. Emily Blunt was hotter than ever here. I want to see more scifi films like this: original plot with interesting characters within a reasonable budget (in this case $30 million) which is not aiming to build a franchise.
This was a solid film, and I normally hate the concept of time travel movies. The kid was great and I like that they didn't puss out in the end so they could make a sequel.
I haven't seen it in a while. If you wanna watch it thrice let me know, I'll invite you over we'll have some wine, cuddle and watch it.
