No... every one of them that manages to survive more than 4 rounds, has the fight slowly and cruelly beaten out of them, exhausted by the effort of trying to relieve the pressure... just the way Chavez likes it

Chavez would have a chance against today's Pacquiao I guess, who is so much more tepid. But a prime Pacquiao does a number on Chavez. Chavez was an elite Mexican fighter, but still a classic Mexican style fighter, not the type of guy that troubles Pacquiao.

If Floyd could still make 140, he'd beat Chavez too.

I'm talking about a 135 pound Chavez....that version applies too much pressure for Pacquiao to deal with....and probably the same thing for Mayweather.

    Yeah right

Pacquiao absolutely thrives on pressure, he'd do a total number on Chavez, and Mayweather would just outbox him.

Yeah if you are slow or/and come in as a retard(hands down/winging looping shots).....that has never been Chavez he will find his way in and stay there.

No he wouldn't. Pacquiao is simply a much better fighter, and much, much faster, and more powerful. He'd beat the fuck out of Chavez at any weight. Chavez would get torn to pieces trying to get inside as Pacquiao zipped around hitting him over and over again with punches he didn't see.

And Mayweather again is just a better all round fighter, it's not like Chavez would have a size or strength advantage either. Mayweather would control Chavez with his jab, defense, counter punching, footwork, and when Chavez did get inside, Floyd would handle himself fine.

Chavez doesn't have the footspeed of someone like Duran to force either Pacquiao or Floyd to fight his fight, they'd both bust him up.

Let's not glorify Chavez and pretend he's something that he isn't, he's not one of the best fighters ever, and both Pacquiao and Floyd arguably are.

The general standard of boxing right now is depressingly low, and therefore Chavez probably WOULD beat everyone else today at 135/140, but Pacquiao and Floyd are the exceptions, they're both much better fighters than Chavez.

135 lbs makes no difference, Pac and Floyd of those weights both destroy him. Chavez was a good fighter, but overrated.

At least someone around here sees sense
Never understand the Chavez hype at all to be honest, he gets talked about in the same breath as the likes of Duran and Leonard, but the truth is he's not even close to being that good, nor is he anywhere near as good as Pacquiao or Floyd.

I don't even dislike him or his style like I do Tszyu for example, but he's just so overrated.

He WAS a very good fighter, but imo he's hyped to the extent he is mostly because he was a Mexican fighter. I've seen people say he'd beat Duran at 135, which is ridiculous.. I don't think he'd even beat Ken Buchanan at 135.
