It is possible, but Disney would had to secure the rights with MGM for a clip and pay some money to Liza Minelli, but knowing how greedy Disney Studio is, I doubt it. Most likely they would cast any young actress for that cameo, but anyway she is not supposed to be in Oz until the Wizard is old. I doubt she will be in this movie.
Yeah very doubtful. I understand MGM is extremely tight with use of any of the copyrighted material from the 1939 film.
EVERYONE should stop watching as soon as they see the words: "From The Director of THE SPIDER-MAN TRILOGY"
A guy I worked with went to see it and said it was good. He wasn't gay or nothing so you can feel better about that Panchy. On the other hand I think he only saw it because he took his kids. I didn't find the director of the Spiderman trilogy a turn off. You know what would have turned me off though? If it had said: From Marc Webb the director of The Amazing Spiderman
The latest Spiderman was awful and that dancing scene by Toby Maguire was the final straw on the previous 3. Compared to other comic book movies Spiderman was pretty bad.
I think that the two Fantastic Four films, the two Hulk movies, Daredevil and Green Lantern were way inferior than even the last Spiderman film with Maguire.
Sam Raimi is a good director. Evil Dead Trilogy For the Love of the game Darkman The Gift Drag me to Hell Spiderman 1 & 2.
Other than the Hulk films, I'd rather watch one of those flicks than any of the 3 Spiderman films. The Spiderman films just feel so dated now and the third one sucked from day one. To me no single marvel hero flick has been as good or rewatchable as the Ironman franchise.
I honestly cannot rewatch Ironman 2. It has little replay value. The first Spiderman movie was a good film, though disappointing in various levels, but waaay better than the reboot.
I actually had the same feeling after my first viewing of both the first Ironman film as well as the 2nd. But after they were shown on the movie channels I'd sit there and start watching it and found they both had great replay value and the 2nd one was better than the first. It wasn't just the action but the dialogue, pace and performances by the supporting actors as well.
Please. GTFOH comparing the Ironman franchise with the Transformers. That Transformers crap is the most unrewatchable shit ever.
The last Transformers movie was so bad I cannot even remember what was it about. All those three films are pretty forgettable.
Oz The Great & Powerful(2013) For anyone who might have any doubt, Oz The Great & Powerful is a direct prequel to the classic 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. the new film pays a lot of homage to the original by having its introduction sequences filmed in black and white as well as having a tornado transporting the fraudulent womanizer magician, Oscar (James Franco) who goes by the nickname of 'Oz, to the wonderful magical candy colored land of Oz'. The film really builds its plot to connect with the events seen in the first film. Most of the major events will lead to The Wizard of Oz sans the singing and dancing (even though in one funny scene, when the munchkins are introduced they start singing and dancing only to be abruptly interrupt by Franco who shouts: "Stop singing! Stop dancing!") The actors do a decent job, but this is not the kind of film you come looking for great performances. While the movie is mostly fun, those flying mandrills can be scary for little children. And the fate of one character is so tragic that you wish it wasn't like that. Watch for the apple. In short this is an old fashioned family friendly fun fantasy film (lots of 'f' in there). Me and my family enjoyed it and recommend it. 8.5/10
