William Shatner wrote, produced and directed this entertaining and sometimes humorous documentary about the Star Trek fandom. The film focus on the fans themselves explaining why they love Star Trek so much. There are the extremist collectors, the people who met at conventions, got married and now bring their children to the Trek conventions also dressed as characters, many of these fans range from professionals at NASA working with Hubble Telescope, college professors, firefighters, housewives, grandparents and teenagers. Unlike other documentaries, Shatner keeps the pace fast and doesn't stay too long with any particular fan. But what is most appealing is that shows the humanity of these people. These are not Big Bang Theory nerds, these are people that very well could be your next door neighborgs. My only regret was that it didn't had that many interviews with Trek cast members, but hey, this was about the fans. Even a non-Trek fan like my wife found this Epix documentary 'fascinating'. 8/10

This prompted me to watch the whole SNL skit that started it all:
